He'll bring experience and warm body. I don't expect him to contribute much offensively. We have to many other weapons.
He'll be an average rebounder. I'd like to see more but I think he's pretty maxed out on potential.

damien is a gifted athlete. he has the ability to play many positions (pg, sg, sf, pf). he goes to the basket and finishes strong. he is also a really good rebounder. i think damien will bring some added leadership to this team. he will cause match up problems for the opposing team when he is at the 1 or the 4. i think damien will have a good year.

Thankfully he won't have to play the one as much this year with all of the talent we have back there. I'd love to see Damien really bang the boards and find his opportunities on that midrange jumper with everything our guards will be creating.

he is not pg...i hated how he was playing the one as much as he did last season...I hope he's worked on his ball handeling...he is an athlete, he just has issues with that whole dribbeling thing......

You're overrating Damien as an athlete. I've seen him play since he was a junior in HS. He's a solid player but not one of the better athletes on the team. I define athleticism by quickness, speed, and leaping ability. Damien is only average in those areas. Hopefully he can prove me wrong.

Damien is an adequate enough dribbler to play point guard. The problem was not his ball handling skills but the quickness of the defenders that play point. He is not as quick and they really made him labor to get the ball up court at times. I like Damien a lot at the 3 and 4 and he will get his minutes there primarily. He is the kind of player that coaches can really use to create mismatches and use as a wild card to change the game. He was almost the 2nd leading scorer on the team last year but Smitty beat him out down the stretch. If he continues to bring 8 points a night that will def help this team win. Also he and Smitty and LB won't have to log 36 min a game like they were doing down the stretch of last season.

I remember the beginning of last year seeing him for the first time and I was like... "Wow, this guy is pretty good" but then as the season went on he didn't really impress me that much. Maybe because the team centered around Larry because he was the only one that seemed to make shots and make something happen offensively. I believe Damien is co-captain this year, correct? I hope he has a great season and helps turn the program around.

I don't know if he has BAD ball handeling skills...but they are not good enough to play the point that is for sure, you are right scar his game is better suited for the 3 or 4 position

Matthews, I believe Rell Porter is the co-captain with Larry. Hubbard is the only other senior though.

I love expository writing. When I took that class my freshman year it was the most fun I've ever had in an English class. The literature side of it isn't nearly as enjoyable for me.

Every time I see the titles of these "What will he bring?" threads I keep thinking "Are we having a party that I didn't know about?"
