what do you guys think about "ACE" as the rest of the team calls him?

I think he better crash the boards and provide us some interior scoring or we are going to have another long season.

i think alex is the answer to our woes. he is pure beast. he's mean on the court(he has that NY swagger...and i love it

), demands the ball(something we didn't have last year) in the post, can finish with either hand, and can shoot the trey ball. if you don't guard him out on the perimeter he will shoot it. Alex is a beast on the boards and that's why i have him averaging a double double this year. Alex is also the strongest player on our team and uses it wisely when he's down low banging with the big men. don't let his stregnth fool you though, he's pretty athletic. he's from the place where they produce the best guards

so he can move. i think Alex will be a key in alot of our victories this year with his ability to rebound. so not only do we have good rebounders in Porter in Hubburd but McLean also.
side note: at Kingdome this summer Alex had a nice dunk on former defensive player of the year Ron Artest.

If Alex Averages a double double he is a much better player than anyone knows. I am not saying he can't do it but it is not that easy. Last season Chris Oliver for Radford averaged double figure rebounds and Panfan's own AZ Reid averaged 9.4 a game. I hope he does average a double double. Another interesting stat was it had been several years since the big south had a 20 point per game scorer and last season they had 2 in Blair and Whit Holcome-Faye. Also, Liberty hadn't had a 20 point scorer since 1990 (my senior year). I don't know if anyone will average 20 this year in the conference but I think there should be 10 reb/game players and A MAC could be one of them.

Not only do I love ACE's athleticism, it's nice to have a bigman who can actually shoot free throws for once...

Looks like he will bring a lot. The question is, will he outscore Blair. I know we are playing inferior competition this early in the season, but I think this guys is going to outstanding. The best big man we've had in many years.

Alex will not outscore Larry. His(Alex) play to me is the biggest bright spot right now, but he will not score the way Larry does.

He doesn't have to. But as a #3 (or #4 depnding an Anthony's progression) scorer he makes us MUCH more dangerous than we've been in recent years.

oh, he is really good. i like seeing quickness in the post.....He has moves like Sarchet, but is athletic like Leo...a very good combination.

You want to win, and for them to Fire Coach D haha... What if we win with Coach D is that ok with you?

nah, I still don't think were going to win the BS, but I am still optimistic. If Dunton can win 24 games, I will take back every bad thing I have said about him on here....but, we all know it wont happen.

dickens obviously knows very little about the game. for us to win the bsc would be incredible. but a 1,2or3 finish is great progress. we do have a chance to be there. coach d said this team is a tougher team mentally and certainly have a few guys who can score. and brewington is going to add so much.
