He should bring the all important experience factor. Hopefully, some leadership and defense as well. We should have more scorers than last year so hopefully he will be a good distributor of the ball as well as scorer.

year in and year out he has been a big positive for us. i think he will show all of the haters that leadership that you guys say he doesn't have. he's been doing a great job this pre season at helping out young players like Jenkins get better. larry is our best scoring option and uses his lightning quickness to get to the basket. his touch is better than ever this year. he's worked mostly on his ball handling and other pg skills over the off season, and you guys will notice it. Larry is going to bring alot of excitement to the crowd, which he never fails to do. he loves to show off and entertain. his circus shots just drives the crowd crazy and i think the freshmen will really enjoy him when he's hot.

he has done a great job at getting better with that kind of stuff. his court vision has increased as well as his ball handling.

If you chose "D) Everything" you win.

After a year of carrying the load, I'm anxious to see how Larry performs with another true scorer in the lineup. Obviously it worked well when he was sharing the opportunities with David. But building that chemistry is a fine science.
Clearly he's going to get more quality looks with Brew on the other side of the floor.

yes! it will be tough trying to guard this guy with his cat like quickness, and brew with his long/smooth game. i can't wait to see what we do in that st. Francis game.

I go with D - Everything. I think he will do fine meshing with the others, but the real question is how will THEY do meshing with him. A Big East transfer might have the tendency to look down on a Big South player, no matter how good. (Unless you are named SCAR then EVERYONE respects your game, or at least you ability to fetch a nice cool glass of the H2O for your team mates) When the game is on the line those players who were here last year (btw, how many ARE left) will have 100% faith in LB. Will the others??? As for leadership? Let s see what he's got. It is his position to lose

Blair is a great player...as long as he's not playing Winthrop (because he always seems to do well against the Eagles), I really enjoy watching him play...I've got a ton of respect for his game and the way he plays and the way he conducts himself on the court.

Do we even need to go here? We know what he will bring. He's LB. The man. The myth. The legend. After his freshman year I was sure we would get another one while he was here. Well, this is his last chance.

No disrespect to Larry, but I hope that his shot selection is better this year.

I don't think anyone could disagree with that, probably Larry included. Of course, he was about the only legit offensive weapon that LU had at times last year, so he was forced to take alot of shots (whether they were good or not). With Brew around, along with a more seasoned Smith and possibly better post guys, I'd expect LB's shooting percentage to go up this year.

WEF is well informed. That's part of what made him so amazing last year is that he was scoring despite not having good looks. With some more weapons ont hef loor with him this season, he should get more clean opportunities.

Blair is the most over-rated player in the BSC. He can't dribble, He can't shoot, he can't pass, he has no vertical, he just fires up 50 shots a game to get his average up. He needs to be serving water to the real players.
When is the last time Blair hit a 3 Pointer, or hit a shot that counted, dunked to get the crowd into the game. Larry doesn't sell tickets, he should be selling them in the ticket office. If he gets a scrap he won't play - he needs to get intentially fouled like that player against Longwood and then come back and play the next game looking like a war victim - but he has a hang nail and he's wearing a suit on the bench.

OK - I was just kidding. Just wanted to heat this thread up a little bit. I'm obviously kidding about Blair. Blair is hands down the best player to ever play at LU, no offense SCAR. He is going to be exciting this year. He has some other guys that will help share the scoring burden. Some guys that will help take all focus off him. It probably won't be as fun watching him this year - and this is a positive - bare with my thought. It was awesome seeing Blair get so frustrated by his team's play that he would take over the game. He got that fire and would not be denied on scoring and bringing his team back into the game. He hopefully will not have to do that this year. Now I'm not saying he won't be able to take over games this year, but he shouldn't have to do it every game.
Blair will be a more complete player this year - shooting percentages will come up, we will get to use his court vision to create more assist, and he will prove to everyone that he can lead.
Blair - 24.7 ppg, 5,6 apg, 2.1 spg, 0.8 bpg, 23 jaw dropping dunks, 1 Big South Championship Trophy.

WOW... Larry Blair is the most over-rated? Larry Blair is one of the greatest players in BIG SOUTH HISTORY! He cant dribble? If he couldnt dribble he would adverage wayyyy more than just under 3 turnovers a game. 3 a game for a role player?! I think thats impressive. Larry hasnt dunked to fire the crowd up? All i can say is he dunks when he can. Sorry hes more concerned about trying to win? Hes not trying out for the Globetrotters. Its not like him dunking to fire the crowd up gets him extra points. The crowd is key but if we are so much as CLOSE (didnt happen too much last year) to a team in scoring then the crowd is into it. Hes not Vince Carter and can just drive the lane and dunk whenever he wants, if thats what youre looking for then buy season tickets to an NBA game where they play no defense and its one person trying to out-jump another.
I say all this to say... Larry Blair is a BEAST... Great player
