After leading the Flames to a top five seed in the 2016 Big South Championship, Liberty men's basketball head coach Ritchie McKay has been voted the Big South Coach of the Year by the league's head coaches and media panel. The announcement was made this afternoon by the conference office.

John Brown gets POY as I predicted. BSC voters seem to always go chalk on these awards and Brown played for the co-champs and was the pre season pick. Presby's Murray is the best player in the BSC.

COY is a different matter. It almost always goes to the guy who's team exceeds expectations most, so Ritchie had a big head start on the field, but he certainly deserved it.
