I would love to finally get a win there. It's so odd we have never won there.

I'm sure the guys can use the break, but as á fan, I hate to see a week off when we are on a roll like this. Even so, I think our chances of ending the curse of Willet are looking good.

Valentine's Eve--who's going??? Some of you could even make it a date night.
Farmville has at least 2 famous local restaurants:
Charley's Waterfront Café (for an expensive date)
Fishin Pig (for a cheap date)

Yes, that's where all the tourists go when they shop at Greenfront Furniture Warehouse (especially Charley's).

I may not be a kool aide drinker. and I certainly didn't think we would be where we are at in the standings at this point in the season. I did however predict we would win both games against longwood and I think this team has the confidence to actually go in and do it this year. I hope I'm right.

Hoping for a win at Longwood where we've never won before, including some of LU's best teams. This team has a lot of heart and grit.

Former Longwood HC Mike Gillian and I were talking about that 104-103 game at Longwood a few years ago when Davon Marshall scored about 29 points in 5 min. It was one of the craziest games I have ever seen let alone been a part of. Michael Kessens the Swiss Army Knife himself was also in the conversation. I was calling a game at UAB with FIU where Coach Gillian is now and Kessens, who plays at Alabama was off that day so drove over to Birmingham to see his former coach.
I was a part of a 2 Longwood games as a player and we were close both games. Sly and the Old Hags can remember the near brawl that happened there that involved some banners being ripped down. I believe it has been documented on this board a few years ago.
Anyway, I hope the Flames can keep up the momentum. I'll be in Lynchburg in 2 weeks for the Gardner Webb game.

This team continues to amaze me. They exude confidence on both ends of the court.

6-game win streaks will do that for you.

Bad news, yes we just about gave it away.
Good news, great defense down the stretch.

Sloppy offense at the end of the game, but we pulled out another one. Team just seems to find a way to win. Are we becoming un-typical Liberty.............slowly but surely? Hopefully it will start to spread to other teams on the mountain.

I have to admit I had just about given up on AC Reid. He hadn't shot well since his Junior year of HS. Thank goodness Ritchie didn't.
