If we can pick up where we left off the last half of basketball we played in Timmons, we will be in great shape.

Yeah I remember that comeback JVP! I had a few plays from that game on my demo reel. Croone went off at the other end though for Furman. That was probably the furthest we have traveled to call a game on LFSN for basketball. I know LFSN football has been out to Montana, Ball State and other places.
This would be great progress if the team could go down there and get a win.

Croone is a stud. Please dont pull out the box score, but in my mind he didnt miss that night. That was a good experience having the crew there for a road game. I remember it being a cold December night, outside, and from the field. Looking forward to the Maxwell and Ferrera match up tonight. My money is always on Big Ev. Should be a good game. This Furman team figured it out last year and made a championship run in the SoCon just falling short if I remember right.
SCAR, not sure if youre on the road or not, but we can always have an ATL watch party.

I'm actually home much of December which is pretty nice. I have one more game Sat Dec 19th Georgia State @ So Miss. I try to go to games as much as I can though. Mercer last Saturday, Phillips Arena for FSU/VCU on Sunday, and this Saturday I will be at Georgia State for their ODU game. You should come out on Saturday JVP. 2 PM. I can get you a ticket no problem.
As for watching the Flames, I will be here watching on ESPN 3 on my Amazon Fire Stick. I would come see you but I think I would have to leave now to get to your side of town in time for the game with the traffic up there.

We will have to plan something soon though. NFL Sunday Ticket here too. Just saying (I love home court advantage).

As much as i would love to be there on Saturday, that would make me late for my 3:30 wedding. Otherwise I am there. I was there Friday for Hawks/Lakers. Phillips is a great venue IMHO. We will make it happen. ESPN3 on the XboxOne for me. The road less traveled as it were.

I think you should be there for your wedding. I thought about it for a few minutes though but I think that is the right decision. Congratulations my man. So happy for you guys! Getting married and posting on Flamefans. That may be official "Old Hag" status on this board.

Lets be honest, the board needed a breath of fresh educated air.

I actually just laughed out loud. If I was in a classroom today, my kids would wonder what was wrong with me.

Okay, I'll go first! Ugly. Praying for Coach to keep the team's morale up especially after this performance.

Its tough to see the losses mount but we have to trust the process, as difficult as it may be. Remember, these arent the Philadephia 76ers we are dealing with here.

The first half they were in it and playing decent, aside from the double digit TO's and poor defensive execution. The second half is a different story however. 21 TO's and only 10 assists as well as another crappy free throw shooting night, these things combined and you won't win many games. However, I do believe we are going to surprise a lot of us throughout conference play and I also believe the Dawson effect will be just that in regards to team emotion, execution and more wins.

At least its just 1 more Dawson less game.
I hoped we could at least win one D1 game before he played.
Wishful thinking.

As bad as we were last year under Coach Layer, we at least had 2 D1 wins by the end of last fall semester--beating Delaware (61-55) and Furman (66-55). But just like with house cleaning, it always gets worse before it gets better. In McKay (and Dawson) we trust!

Both of those wins were at home.
Gielo was in the lineup for Delaware, which had a roster in flux and was missing one of its best remaining players.
Furman was terrible all season before catching fire in the SoCon tourney.
Ritchie has had only one home game against a DI team so far, and that was against a team that beat an ACC team on the road by 20.
Don't think the situations are comparable.

Last year´s team had tons of size and experience. Yes, there were defeciencies too, and Gielo got hurt, but IMHO they underperformed. Hard to tell what underperforming would consist of with this team, but I think last night may have met the standard when you look at it as compared to the Radford game for example. We played well enough to win against the Highlanders, but couldn´t make a shot. Our shooting was decent against Furman, but we didn´t play nearly well enough to win. Turnovers and defensive lapses killed us.
