I expect us to play a bit better each of the first few games as we develop a rhythm with new faces all over the floor.

Obvious mismatch, Liberty doing everything they want to offensively.

This is how you treat a team that you pay to come play you. Great job Young Flames.

Really? I recall a couple of 'pay in' games in the Vines that were pretty competitive back in the day....... And you still owe the school a check!

Well we wanted to be kinder to certain coaches so we kept out talented Texas backcourt in check. Speaking of checks, you need to see a man on that staff, not named Nazigian or Scarborough. I was lucky to get my own paycheck back in those days, as small as it was. Man Liberty has come a long way...financially.

Wow! What a difference between the first and second games. The little bit of the game I watched this is my reaction:
1. Lovell Cabbil can shoot the rock and so can Kemrite, as well as Talbert! 50% from 3 land tonight, impressive against anyone especially when you shoot 28 of them.
2. Evan Maxwell is going to be a work-horse this season and rightfully so.
3. Atencia is a very skillful passer and tough kid.
4. After 2 games you can definitely tell there is WAY more positive energy and excitement surrounding these players.
Finally, I know my post may sound a bit giddy but its just nice to see a team who wants to play together and looks to be having a lot of fun under Coach Mckay's leadership. There are going to be growing pains along the way and we have already seen some through the first two games. I know one thing, its going to be a fun season watching these flames grow as young men.

Very Optimistic. Yes we may not be .500 this year but there is definitely a difference in the attitude of the team. I notice that we miss quite a few layups at the rim and thats okay. Im patient because I know these are freshman with freshman bodies. Give them year of experience and a year in the weight room and those shots will start to fall. Our players look very well conditioned and they are very skillful with the ball. In years past I was just hoping 1 person on the team could somehow handle the ball. I see quite a few that are very great handlers although they make freshman dribbling mistakes into double teams. It happens. 2nd game alot better than the first. Take it one game at a time and get better.

The whole atmosphere in Vines was better tonight. There's excitement around this team again. The real test will come on Tuesday against W&M, who beat NC State by 17 to open up their season.
