The Flames host UNC-Asheville Monday night looking to put together their first winning streak of the season after Thursday's victory over VMI. We lost by twelve down in Asheville but obviously we play much better in Lynchburg. Here's a quick reset of the Bulldogs:

I will be there again tonight, taking out my frustration of class on the bulldogs. Let's go flames! Tonight could be a big step to a respectable season.

Ha ha! Great minds think alight, huh? Yeah, I'm trying to encourage as many people as I can to come out. I saw Evan today, and he is really pumped about the game tonight. Hopefully he will have a great showing since we need him to win.

Looks like the UNCA coach is taking a little heat:

Going to be some pressure on UNCA tonight and later this week when they have to come back up this way to play VMI.

There are seriously maybe 400 fans here 2:30 before tipoff. That's pretty pathetic.

Yes--go to the MBB page--or at one of SCAR's posts. Game on audio and streaming video.

Tally--if you have hi speed, try this:

Asheville is up 60-47 with about 8 mins to go in the game. The crowd sounds like we're playing in an empty gym.

Holy cow!!! Overtime! Blair hits the 3 with 5 seconds left after key free throw misses by UNC-A. Amazing!

Sounds like a real choke job by the Bulldogs. Hope we can hold on--then we can root for them to beat VMI next game.

Nice to hear the crowd into it. Barber just fouled out, Blair at the line to try to cut it to two with 13 seconds left.

Missed free throw and they get the offensive rebound.
Nice save SCAR, thought you might say something besides a "stinkin rebound."

Scar talking about the fact that UNCA was playing tight D on Blair:
"I bet if he went to the bathroom someone would be right there with him!"
Close 2nd...

When #3 checks into the game to foul:
Announcer 1: "I don't even have his name on my sheet."
Scar: "I bet you're glad I know these guys, huh?"

Now we really have to root for them to knock off VMI.

The refs were completely horrible for the second game in a row.
But this proves the point, we need a serious banger inside. That big guy they had muscled us all night long. And we def. need a guy that can change shots. Right now we have nothing inside that can contest big men. If they would have had their 7' footers, it would have been a lot worse. We also need a point gaurd. Risher turned the ball over in key situations time and time again.
What a performance by Larry Blair.
