The frequency of traditional redshirt years for development have dropped substantially for many of the reasons stated here. I'm sure this staff will utilize it if needed for Newton. Right now we know he could benefit from it but a lot can change in a year - physical development, roster changes, etc.... How our current bigs produce/develop this year will be a huge factor.

One good thing about a player committing to a school early on is that typically he knows exactly where he is based on staff feedback and what he needs to do to earn playing time at LU. There is no doubt that Henry can communicate drills/workouts specific to areas of weakness that he can be working on for an entire year before arriving next summer. It's never the same as being on campus but if he puts in the work, he can get himself ready. He definitely adds a dimension that no one else on our roster can.

Not really, but the direction of the speculation has been toward his not If he can take the couple of HS courses he needs and graduate after the first semester, he could then enroll at Liberty and join the team, but would not play til the next Fall

As has been pointed out, none of the announcements about his transferring make any mention whatsoever of his playing basketball for LCA, which would certainly seem strange if he is planning to do so

Man, I sure would like to actually know what is going on with Cuffee at LCA Will he play basketball for the Bulldogs or just get his diploma and enroll at LU

Thanks Sum LCA should be fun to watch this year I don't know who else they have, but Barber and Cuffee alone will make them hard for most teams to handle
