There was a time when the Radford / LU rivalry game meant something!! SMH, I think at 38 I could suit up now and average more for LU now than when I was playing in the glory days

There was a time when it was the most heated rivalry in the Big South. Liberty/Coastal football is a good and budding rivalry that has grown by leaps and bounds over the past couple of seasons, but this was the Big South equivalent of Duke/Carolina once upon a time.

If we pull this one out, I want the 30 fans there to laughably and shamefully storm the court after beating the 160th ranked team in the nation.

Flames win! Flames win! By 11. Good effort. No court storming taking place.

Nice W. We are much better when we consistently attack the rim. Theo was a beast. Hopefully we can get another to close out the season against UNCA.

Big picture: Too bad the W just gets us to 2-15 in conference on the season. I'd be curious to see how these some of these guys do in a different system.

Im excited to see him and Gielo together next year. Now that they both know DL system they could be special

That is assuming DL has put in his entire defensive package, it has only been 5 years. :)

Nice win by LU.

In other news around the league a lot of eggs were laid it seems, Winthrop, Coastal, and RU.

speaking of RU --- where is the RVAPARKS guy? this is the time of year where a Mike Jones RU team starts to flounder.

Watching RU warm up pregame it was clear that neither the coaches or the players too the game serious at all. I mean, they had a thirty minute dunk fest with everyone cheering for the best dunks. Who does that before a game? I called the LU win after seeing this.

It's a win and look who is back

It sounded by Lang's Tweets that was the case. I'm not surprised that happened but I doubt any team (there are only 2 left I think) will do that again. We have lost the element of surprise. I'm glad the kids played hard and took advantage of the opportunity Radford gave them.

Is this the time when we start winning some games and make it into the tourney? Wake me up when it's over.

Congrats to the men on a good win and taking advantage of the opportunity to play the spoiler roll against a historically major rival.

If what Rooster said is true, that doesn't surprise me at all. If you don't take a game or an opponent seriously, 99% of the time you will get beat.
