I'm interested to see how Rowsey performs. He only had 10 points combined in their last 2 games.

Sly the numbers for their record don't make sense at all. Plus it is 2014-2015. You must have been in a big hurry on that one man
Also the apathy around here and around the world about this team is really staggering.

I was working off a template. I'm not a paid SID, bro. Cut me some slack.

It's not a knee. It's a stress reaction. We know from extensive past experience how unpredictable the recovery time is for those.

I'll have a slight update on Gielo in a Twitter mailbag that I'm posting later. Spoiler: He's not playing tomorrow, but you already knew that.

Sorry to hear that it been a stress fracture issue with Gielo- had one of those myself my sophomore year and they're frustrating and unpredictable to say the least.. best wishes for a speedy & full recovery for that young man.
As for the Bulldogs- they've been also battling nagging injuries and stomach illnesses/ flu-like symptoms over the past few weeks- hence the various lineup changes and some guys sitting out some games.. Rowsey was sick on the Alabama swing but he's just been a different player these last few games with an emphasis on getting his teammates involved (also coupled with some early foul trouble in the last 3 games). Our forwards had a a career day vs GWebb and some of the potential we've seen in flashes was a 40 minute/full game effort.. If that team shows up each night it will be a banner year as they had 26 assists on 31 made FG's which was a tale-telling stat in the GWebb game. Robertson has been a great compliment to Andrew in terms of consistent output.
This same Bulldog squad could come out flat and overlook this Liberty squad as they are a young group. The Bulldogs struggled mightily with ball possession/turnovers in the OOC schedule. Tomorrow will be an interesting game to see how things (especially the defensive energy and effort and offensive ball movement) carry over..

Do you think there's something more going on with Rowsey? I mean to only score 5 points each of the last 2 games is pretty remarkable for him.

Ten points in a game would be puzzling for Rowsey.

Pure speculation but I wouldn't be surprised if the BSC teams, who know what he can do, are defending Rowsey somewhat like they did Davon Marshall last year. Both players have the range to hit a good percentage from really deep if they are not challenged. Once they realized he could make those bombs, teams put a taller athletic guard on Marshall and guarded him well past NBA 3 point range, and he struggled. I expect Rowsey will ultimately make adjustments and be productive again, but he is NOT going to lead the nation in scoring. I also don't expect Rowsey to tweet about basketball not being fun any more.

Concerning Rowsey- I'd say its a combination of a few things from what I've seen in games lately..
1. Teams are really keying on him- placing a bigger guard on him and even running a second defender at him at times.. Which is typical of the whole "sophomore slump" that you see with players..
2. He's picked up fouls very early in the last 3 of 4 games and picked up his 3rd foul before the U16 min media in the 2nd half- so his minutes are down- only 20 mins vs GWebb (5 pts) , 25 mins @ Radford (5 pts), 28 mins at Jacksonville St (6 pts/plus he was still not 100% from illness in this game). He was averaging over 36 mins per game vs D1 opponents prior to the last 4 games.
3. He's getting better at his shot selection and he's simply not just chucking up shots, especially if he misses early on- last year and at times this year, he would just keep shooting until he gets hot.. now if he hits some shots early, I wouldn't expect him to disappear. He's likely going to be UNCA's first 1000 point sophomore and just as likely to hit the 2000 point career mark if I had to guess
4. This Bulldog team has some really good talent and he seems to have figured out that he's going to need to foster his teammates confidence going forward if he wants to have team success. He scored 41 at Radford last year in a 10 point loss, scored 5 this year and the team won- his actions on the bench have shown me that he's more interested in winning as his body language and cheering for his teammates was impressive in these few subpar individual games for him..
I can't remember the W-L record off hand but the Bulldogs record when he scores less than 25 points is far more favorable and I think he's starting to understand that.
That said, he's a really talented offensive player and he's going to have more 25-30-40 point games over his career- he's just too gifted offensively to disappear for long periods of time.

We lose 72-43. Andrew Smith picks up a technical and Moeller goes 2-13. On the bright side, Evan Maxwell will look like the only non-moron traveling on the Flames bus

Am I the only one still listening to this game on WLNI? LU is down 19-18 in the first half.
