One thing to know, 0-1 to start conference play. :)

I'd like our chances of winning better if this game were in Lynchburg. Its still winnable...I just don't see it happening.

Maybe we should just cancel the rest of the season, fire the staff and let the new coach clean house on the roster akin to what Coach Rocco did when he came in for football. It sounds to me like nobody gives this bunch much of a shot.

BJ - don't be stupid. Rocco won with Karcher's players. He didn't clean house on the roster.

Aaaand, there's the BJ knee-jerk over-reaction to what people honestly think about our chances in a SINGLE game. BJ that comment would probably fit better in the BS Conference play thread, if it could fit anywhere at all.

Exactly...Rocco won with what he had, b/c he was that type of coach. Plus he did at least have talent, Karcher could get good players to the mountain.

Great philosophy BJ  When things get tough.......just quit.
You play the games for several reasons. You obviously did not take ,or at least do well in ,a good coaching class.
If we were to go to Cameron next week and play Duke, no one would really expect us to win. So why go?

Because anything can happen once the ball goes up. That said, that sentiment isn't shared around here. I would like to hope that the team doesnt tank the season because of what a bunch of guys on message boards say

Why in the World would they tank? It's not like we are jockeying for Draft position or clearing salary cap space. The constant losing will wear on them for sure. Their enthusiasm and focus will wane absolutely, but no player at this level goes out and tanks. For one, if you are a Senior, this is your last go around. If you are an underclass men you want to put something positive on film for the next coaching staff, here or somewhere else.
Put some thought into it

When will a coaching staff change be made? What will it take? I am an alum that has already decided to stop watching basketball. I don't know how else to voice my dissatisfaction other than by saying so here and by not watching.

Don't care about Campbell. How nice would it have been to have been excited by our non-conference schedule. To schedule quality programs and compete with an expectation to win. Is that unrealistic? It certainly is with this staff.

IMO, a lot of it depends on how much time is remaining on his contract. If this is the last year of his contract, he simply won't get another one. If he has 1 year left a change is possible. If there are 2 years left a change will be difficult. Why? Because paying 2 years, plus a new coaches salary will be difficult to justify/handle because that's pretty close to $1 million. If it's just a year it becomes more manageable

You think they'd tank b/c of what we say on this message board? Such thinking is...unfathomably crazy???

You guys are on here just complaining and our boys are lighting it up in a real shootout with Campbell. 21-20 LU with 18 minutes to go.

As mentioned before this is a team with a lot of complimentary parts/role players. We need a legitimate scorer or two to be a winning team. Unless we shut out the opponent we will have a hard time beating most BSC opponents. Maybe when Gielo comes back he may give us an offensive boost but right now there is no one that will consistently put up 15-20 points a game. Without Gielo we have absolutely no 3 point threat and that makes us easy to defend. I give the team credit for playing hard nose defense. No more "T's". Let your play do the talking not your mouth.
