Competitive within the top 5...I can see us finishing 9th, ahead of PC and Longwood...but no one else.

Have we ever beaten Longwood (phrasing) at Longwood before?

No, and Flames Nation apparently created quite the buzz on their campus per this article:

Realistically this team can win 4-6 more games on good nights. However I believe we will go 3-15 the rest of the way with home wins over Longwood and Presbyterian and a road win against a middle team in the conference (Best win in a shameful year). Layer gets fired, never is a head coach again, and Ethan Layer transfers to VT.

I can't figure out for the life of me how the 13 fans that school has thinks we could be there rivals. That's about all I have to say about that.

You hypocrite. Didn't you read the comments in the article posted? We can't have rivalries and we all know 13 is the number of Satan!
This is what we do to heretics like you!

Layer coaches up the boys, they figure out their roles and go on a 6 game winning streak, We finish 9-9 in conference. Jerry would call this my BHAG for this team.

The two big movers are, Charleston Southern, I think they will finish Top 3, and Liberty, Im hoping they finish top 4.
Also, its odd that the two teams with the leading scorers in the conference so far, are terrible against DI opponents, Rowsey and the kid from Presby. Andrew is such a volume scorer, I think it hurts his team. Id take him on the mtn for sure however. They are a combined 1-16 against DI opponents.

Which then leads to one of three potential scenarios:
1) Liberty loses in the first round and Layer is fired before getting off the bus in Lynchburg
2) Liberty goes on ANOTHER magical run and wins the Big South and Layer gets 1 more year (maybe 2)
3) Liberty wins a game or two, does not win the Big South and JB lets him go while making it look like he resigned so he has at least a little dignity

That is much more than a BHAG. It's like the sun rising in the West.
