Holding this team below 25% shooting and we are shooting at about 60%. I can't believe we are only up by 11. The trash fire grows!

We have no business playing NAIA schools. Nothing good comes from it. You get a cheap W to pat your record, but typically your rpi will go down. I guess it can't hurt when we're already rock bottom.

Non DI games don't affect RPI

What? What's wrong playing NAIA schools?

The Ryan Kemrite Show began today with his first start. 13 points. #KamikazeKid

I don't have a big problem playing 1 or 2 NAIA schools especially between OOC and IC schedules. Gives the team someone to play rather than beat on each other for that long of a time. Playing more than 2? Not so much. On the realistic side, it's difficult to schedule sure D1 wins when you are one of the worst teams in D1

One has to wonder how much the players actually enjoy playing 4-5 games like this every season. I remember hearing last year the backcourt essentially turned on Layer and chemistry issues blew up. Then again, we have a lot of non-DI (even DII) talent (Talbert, Layer).

We are still 13 games from losing 20.

I thought this years team would have better chemistry. While it's better than last year it's still awful

Don't be deceived by the W/L record, we are 2-7 against DI comp. one of those wins came against 0-10 Delaware. Our strength of schedule, which doesn't account for 4 non-DI games, is the worst in the country.

Unless something changes, we will finish with 18 or 19 losses entering the conference tourney.

I am far from deceived. I'm just counting down another 20 loss season.

Was it Lang or someone else that predicted we would have 10 wins BEFORE the start of conference play?

Yes. We do. Just not 3 or 4 of them

There are benefits to playing them. Play sub-D-I teams as exhibitions or play one D-II in the regular season. But the rest should be D-I.

Ive been one of the biggest Layer Supporters on the board thus far. My last ditch effort at giving him more time will be this.

He has proved he can coach up a team throughout the season, I hope he does well in conference play and we finish top 4 in the Big South this year. If conference play goes well, and Dale gets the guys playing when it matters most (conference play) I think hes still the guy.

Anything outside the top 4 in the Big South this year... Its time to start searching. Go Flames. I really hope we finish top 4 because I like Dale, and think he has put together a great staff.

4th place in Big South is nothing to brag about in my opinion. As for " good staff", I will exercise my first amendment rights.

The year before they won the BigSouth, They ended the Regular season 7-2 in conference play.

Im grasping here, but if Dale can finish top 4 in the conference with this team, I like the future and think he deserves another year. I realize its a tall task, but I will judge him by what he does in the conference this year.

The year before that, 2010-2011, His team went 13-5 in conference play.

That is 3 out of the last 4 years that his team has performed much better towards the end of the season, I hope this years team figures a few things out, and Layer has them playing well going into conference play. #GoFlames.

Despite what SJ says, I think hashtags can work on the message board BJ.

It takes time to implement the system
