Strengths:
Maitland is a true point guard that competes on both ends of the floor. He is a lefty that pushes the ball and is an excellent open court and drive, draw and kick passer. He does a good job of getting his teammates involved and has the ability to score when he wants or when needed. Maitland is strong for his size and his handle is tight as he changes speeds and directions on a dime. He can make shot out the arc and from mid levels when his feet are set or in rhythm.
Weaknesses:
Maitland will need to continue to work to make his jumper more consistent and improve his shot selection at times. He will also have to continue to develop his right hand and not take chances with his passes and gamble for steals as much on defense.
Bottom Line:
Maitland is a true point that can push, pass the ball and score. He is tough and competitive with excellent upside.
Graded out at 77 in ESPN's scale and 3 stars.

He is 5'11" and 170. Visiting Morehead and Norfolk State this week. Kid actually has a bunch of offers.

Malik retweets Joel Osteen a lot. I'm not a huge fan of Joel, but I'll take that any day over some of the stuff I've seen tweeted or retweeted by some other LU recruits.

This would be a solid pickup and give us two young PGs that can be a fine 1-2 in the Big South (with him and Dembley) once Retic graduates
