Possible Transfer: Zach Johnson

Was leaving church today and ran into an old friend of mine and his son was in church, talked to him afterwards and came to find out he is transferring after an injury last season. he is a 6-5 forward and looking at either Liberty or ODU after spending the year at TCC.

Averaged 11ppg for the USMA prep school team in 2012-13. Looks like that was the last basketball he has played.

He injured himself at some point, and he mentioned to me after church that he was transferring. any playing that will happen is after he finishes rehabbing. I will see what happened injury wise when I talk to him next week

Ambivalent. Based on his multi-sport honors and his size he might be a nice D stopper on the perimeter.
He got into Army so he'd definitely help the team GPA

Talked to Zach after church today...He is gonna play for Bryant and Stratton College (just started in the NJCAA I think he said) then will transfer from there...sounds lkme Virginia Tech is entering the picture as well

I didn't say that he was a blue chip prospect olldflame. The Johnsons are family friends so I just talked to him and he said he had talked to his coach (or maybe it was the coach at Bryant and Stratton) and Tech was a potential landing spot after he spends a year in junior college. Im guessing there is a connection there through one of those two otherwise he would not have mentioned them (without some sort of violation coming into play). Zach wasn't exactly a scrub coming out of high school...McDonald's All-American no, but not exactly a kid with zero talent either
