It somehow doesn't seem possible after all the players we signed this year, but as it stands now we will have 4 scholarship openings going into 2015. We have offered 9 players so far covering every position except center.

Most recent offer to Cole Harper, a 6'6" SG out of Chatham, IL who attended our elite camp this week and left with an offer. Guess DL was impressed.

Add 6' 3" SG Isaiah Vinson to the list of those offered.

I have a friend named Keith Vinson that lives in North Carolina that played RB at Liberty during my time. The last time I saw Keith was at a Winthrop game a few years back. I wonder if this is his son? If not a close relative perhaps.

I met Caleb this past weekend. Pretty good size for a guard. AC Reid introduced us at the football game on Saturday. Seemed like a nice kid.

Here's more on Caleb from Jamie Shaw and phenomhoopreport.com http://phenomhoopreport.com/scouts-take ... y-liberty/
Homesley is very skilled. He shows his court awareness in multiple aspects of the game. From the wing, he has great vision and is able to create angles to make plays. Homesley also has soft touch from beyond the arc, and proved to be a very effective catch and shoot guy. Homesley has great length and a young body.

Phenomreport seems sketchy. In reading the article the say he is ranked 15 in the Top 75. However, the link they provide has Xavier Hill Mals as the #15 and our guy as #30

Homesley looks like he may just be something we haven't had at LU in a long time, a kid who six foot five and truly has guard skills.

Michael Stones, the only point card we have offered for 2015, just committed to Dartmouth.

I guess our 'Ace' in the hole turned out to be a 'Joker'
I wonder if he was a 'Jack' of all trades? Study

Sorry, it was just right there. I've done that after myself

Ha! Voice recognition on this Android phone works pretty well but you do have to double Shack. And there we go, that would be double check.

After seeing the team briefly this weekend I can tell you guys one thing that is undeniable:

This team is EXTREMELY LONG and really athletic. I was amazed at how many guys were playing above the rim. Coach Manley has been telling me for weeks now that the athletic quotient has gone up but after seeing for myself, I can confirm Coach was right. I didn't know many of the kids names when I walked in but I got up to speed pretty quickly.

Yeah I have no idea how well they will perform. I think Joe Retic will have to play a ton due to not a lot of true PG play out there. The late signee from Minnesota could push for time in that spot though. But this team is easily the most athletic, LONG/RANGY team I have seen around there in a while. I hope it translates into success.

That group was up there. 96-97 with Marcus White, Jay Boykin, Boo Graham, and Aluma may have something to say about that.

The 08 team with TJ, BJ, Ace McLean, Smitty and Kyle Ohman, with Brolin Floyd, the other Smith and a few others maybe in the conversation.

From my early evaluation, this team appears to be at LEAST on par with those groups in terms of athleticism and length alone. Not commenting on wins/losses/ability but sheer athleticism.

Certainly longer in the back court where we are replacing major minutes from 2 sub six footers with guys who are 6 foot 3 to 6 foot 5. The departing Burrus, Coronado and JVP have been replaced by James Johnson, Andoh and Talbert. Thats probably more athleticism if not more length.

I would add in Evan Maxwell to the mix of athletes too. He was moving really, really well on Saturday. He was a little tired as play went on though.

Gabe Martin, Leo Lightbourne, Brian Woodson, Larry Blair, David Dees, Doug Stewart, John Clarke, Harry Williams and I never played but I could jump out the gym back in those days. That's a lot of athletes!!
