Liberty can finish 4th with a win over Radford AND losses by Campbell to Radford and High Point. Otherwise, the Flames are 5th.
1st in the North will pretty much be decided tonight between HPU & VMI.
Radford likely finishes 3rd.
As far as the South, I'm not touching that until tonight's games are over. I'm sure to end up with a headache trying to factor in all the tiebreakers.

Yeah, you're smart not to touch the South yet..I've been trying to go through all of the combinations and it is a mess. Pretty much anyone that's in the top 4 currently can finish in any of the top 4 spots (and WU can even finish 5th if they lose out and CSU wins out)...
If UNCA wins out, they win the division.
If CCU wins out, they clinch a 1st round bye...
If GWU wins out, they clinch a 1st round bye.
If WU wins out, they can still miss out on a bye..
That's about as specific I can get for the South right now. In terms of tiebreakers, CCU swept GWU, GWU swept WU, WU swept CCU, and UNCA plays WU and GWU this week, and they've already beaten each team once already, so they'll have a sweep with a win over either of them. There is still a possibility of a 4-way tie for first at 10-6 (which would give UNCA and WU the top two seeds).

Yeah the South is a mess, I usually like trying to figure out stuff like that, but I'm not going anywhere near that. That's probably harder than trying to figure out conference realignment when it was at its peak last year.

NOTHING tops VHSL realignment this year. Nothing.

The South...Im not even gonna touch that...Here are the possibilities for the North:
North:
VMI...............10-4
High Point.......10-4
Radford...........8-6
Campbell.........6-8
Liberty...........5-10
Longwood........3-12
If Liberty beats Radford and Campbell loses out (which would include a loss to HPU on Friday) Here is what we would be looking at:
If VMI beats High Point:
1. VMI
2. High Point
3. Radford
4. Liberty (due to a season sweep of Campbell)
5. Campbell
6. Longwood
If High Point beats VMI but VMI beats Longwood (again noting Campbell losing out):
1. VMI (due to season sweep of Radford, HPU 1-1 vs. Radford)
2. HPU
3. Radford
4. Liberty (again due to season sweep of Campbell
5. Campbell
6. Longwood
If High Point beats VMI AND VMI loses to Longwood:
1. High Point
2. VMI
3. Radford
4. Liberty
5. Campbell
6. Longwood
if Campbell wins either of their remaining two games they are locked in as the 4 seed and Liberty as the 5.

The South is a mess. CCU has the easiest road with PC and CSU at home this week, we arguably have the toughest with CSU and UNCA both on the road.
Massive amounts of brown liquid are needed to help understand and decipher the current possibilities in the South, your choice whether it is bourbon or sweet tea.

If you want a beer suggestion, forget Fat Tire and Roanoke Railhouse, Legends (based out of Richmond I believe) is where it's at. I might even suggest their Chocolate Porter, if you're looking for something stout to take down to Myrtle.

Chris Lang you are the man! Looking forward to hanging out at press row next week in Myrtle. Hopefully we get our boy Damien Sordelette down there too for the women's games.
I think Liberty will beat Radford and struggling Campbell will lose on Friday night to High Point and the Flames will get a #4 seed and open with Charleston Southern. I don't see Strickland going off again for 36 like he did in the 1st meeting.
Getting a #5 seed for Liberty is a wild card. Any one of those 4 teams battling for the bye in the South could wind up being a #4 in the South which would be a tough matchup. #5 North vs # 4 South plays the winner of #1 North which will probably be High Point at Noon on Friday in the quarterfinals. I never liked playing in those afternoon sessions in tournaments. Crazy things usually happen. I see it in a lot of conference tournaments on TV every year.
I'm sad the season is winding down because it is fun to be around college basketball for 5 months but I am really looking forward to the Big South Tournament.

Went with a Hopslam. Tasty, bold. Didn't live up to the hype, though the hype for Hopslam was so ridiculous it was going to be tough to do so.

That's a great beer, but it's crazy expensive and overhyped. I always pick up a sixer each year despite it's $20 price tag.

Anybody going to Myrtle? Liberty has that 1st game of the tournament at noon on Wednesday. Either Winthrop or Liberty will be back in their homes before this thing really gets going. That is a tough slot to play in but it is where Liberty will be every day next week as long as they are alive:
Noon Wed vs Winthrop
Quarterfinal Noon Friday vs High Point
1st Semi Final Noon Saturday
Championship Noon Sunday

Why would I want to drive down to Myrtle to watch 1 game over lunch?
Now if you want to hit a 1st rd NCAA game I can find a vacation day or 2 to use

There were a lot of people expecting a one and done last year...including the pep band...they had to rework their hotel reservations after the first win last year
