16. We're the worst NCAA tourney team ever, record-wise

As such we will probably be in one of the two 16/16 games in Dayton next Tuesday

Well, I didn't do the math but the entire game they were showing the only other 20 loss team to make it and they wound up with 1 more win than us.

But as we saw this week, the D2 cupcakes were a good call to help us rebuild some confidence for the spring semester. Just getting to the First Four is an amazing accomplishment. But honestly, we will likely be in a game in the first round that we have a legitimate chance to win.

We're almost guaranteed to be in the play-in game in the East. Ironically, if Duke can win the ACCT, it's probably Duke/LU in the first round. What a story that would be.

And if we get to that Duke game, it'll probably be on Good Friday. Think of the story lines:

Christians vs Devils on Good Friday.
Christians try for revenge on Judas.
Christians suffer another giant loss on Good Friday.

We'd definitely get our name out there.

That would completely ruin my tournament experience. I want no part of that. Especially since it's a 99.99999% enevitable loss.

Yeah, not so much. If that were the case we would have seen that immediately. I just think these guys figured something out and played their game. Sort of like DL's per-game speech

Actually my math was wrong. I skipped a week. The game wouldn't be on Good Friday. It'd be the week before.

Keep an eye on the Great West, MEAC, and SWAC tournaments. Out of those three winners, the one with the weakest record is your likely opposition in Dayton.

Congrats on today by the way. You beat the two division champs, a second place team, and the host team to do it. People can spin it however they want, but LU earned the tourney win, no question.

I'm not sure what other type of spin you could put on it. You are right. I'm not sure any team went through a tougher gauntlet to win a tournament. (Maybe UCONN a couple years ago).

Does anyone know how to watch the Dale Layer Interview they just had on ESPN? I just saw the last 2seconds by luck.

Norfolk State should they run the MEAC tournament probably wont end up in Dayton (They knocked off Mizzou last year if you remember). Also, the Great West doesnt have an autobid because they only have 5 teams so Id say itll come down to the SWAC, the NEC (where the #1 seed got bounced), the MAAC (can you say possible rematch with Iona but if Manhattan wins there they certainly will be headed to Dayton), possibly the Big West and the America East.

Was he being interviewed by a fly ape circus or LaPhonso Ellis? His post-game interview with Ellis was pretty epic in terms of keeping the conversation focused on God. I saw it on ESPN News after the game so I would say just keep watching that channel for an hour or 2.

If memory serves KK is probably not happy with our win. He is not a fan of being in the "Play In" game thinking it cheapens our Conference. At least with CSU there was a chance a BSC team wouldn't play. I've never agreed with that, and especially in this case. LU and the BSC will get a lot of press with us in the play in game. One, just because of who we are and two, because of our record.
IMO, the worst thing for us is to have this long lay off. But it's awesome to still be playing!

I thought they rotated the play in game? Anyone that watched the end of that Indiana game today knows they shouldnt be the #1 seeded team for the tourny. You take away that cheap shot shove in the back on the break away layup and call it correctly, that game would have went the otherway. Duke has proved the past two weeks with Kelly back that they should be the #1 seed for the tourny

Great West doesn't receive an auto bid to the tournament.

Or....if UM makes FT's. can't put that on the refs. IU deserves and will get a #1 seed unless they lose in their first game of the B1G Tourney.

But we will play Duke if we win

What would you have called that back in the day? When it comes to intentionally fouling players from the back when the offensive player has a clear shot at scoring, more needs to be done about protecting the players. Haventyou seen the movie Hoosiers? I`m bitter about the loss as you can tell.
