Nic Brown hasn't played since before the 1st LU matchup. His AAU coach is a friend of mine and he told me that Brown has a back and ankle issue and may not play the rest of the season. I was at their win on Saturday vs Radford. I give them credit for playing well but Radford was playing so poorly it was hard to assess how Longwood was playing. They will be tough on Tuesday night against Liberty and their student section will be loud. A tiny gym and a lot of lean years recently but that has not softened the enthusiasm around their team for home games from what I have seen the few times I have been there this season.

As for my assessment of the Flames? I fully believe this year's team has the talent to make a run in the Big South Tournament. I am not saying they will do it but depending on matchups I think the Conference Tourmanent is going to be unpredictable. And mathmatically a 1st round bye is still in play for this team.

We just gave up 47 points to Longwood.... in 1 half.... to Longwood. Isn't that how much we gave up to them the entire game last time? Where is the defense?

Just when you thought the ship couldn't sink any lower...

This may offend folks but I seriously doubt that there is a worse Division 1 basketball game in the country this year. Watched 5 mins of the second half and maybe it is the gym but I truly believe there are some high level high school teams that could compete with both of these teams. There is a serious lack of true Division 1 talent out on the court tonight.

Yeah we actually had ball w/ 4 seconds but they fouled JCS before he could a three off.
