When should we expect the game time to be announced?

After ESPN sets their lineup.

This should be a "W" for us. Austin Peay isn't very good

We aren't very good either

What bracket is this game supposed to be busting? Both teams are in the bottom 10 in RPI.

I was wondering the same thing. I cannot find any Bracket that either team will even be a threat to bust, much less actually bust it.

I think the point of it is to showcase teams from the non "power 6" conferences

BJ, the term "showcase" may be more confusing than the term "bracket buster". May give LU some TV time that they normally not get on ESPN or ESPN 2, 3, 4, 5 or whatever channel it be on. Bottom line, 2 bad teams playing each other, but one will win.

we still have a chance. There is always hope.

All these teams made the tournament but lost in the first round.

0.360 - 1961 George Washington (9-16) Loss 84-67 vs Princeton
0.379 - 1995 Florida International (11-18) Loss 92-56 vs UCLA
0.379 - 1996 Central Florida (11-18) Loss 92-70 vs Massachusetts
0.379 - 1997 Fairfield (11-18) Loss 82-74 vs North Carolina
0.400 - 1999 Florida A&M (12-18) Loss 99-58 vs Duke
0.400 - 2005 Oakland, Mich (12-18) Loss 96-68 vs North Carolina

Very true, in basketball it is possible for any team to win their conference tournament and still make NCAA tourney. Unlike football where one loss eliminates most teams from championship contention.
I'd like to see some 12-18 teams knock off the big boys.

12-18 teams from crap conferences like the Big South will never knock off any of the big boys...they will have a hard time getting past the play-in game

Teams that WIN their conference should not have to play in the play in games. they earned their bid, regardless of conference or record. play in games should be strictly for teams who could not win their conference and had to settle for an at large berth.

Do you mean win their Conference Tourney? I disagree because there upsets in tournaments. Lets say we go undefeated next year in BSC play ( :pray ). Then say Longwood who has a sub .500 in and out of conference makes a run and beats us to win the Tourney. Why shouldn't they have the play in game?

There should be no such things as play in games, period.

If you win your conference regular season championship AND win the conference championship in the post season then there should be no play in game but if you can't manage to win the conference in the regular season and play in a low level conference then you should be put in a play in game. The regular season in college basketball already has zero meaning as it is.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a provision that only so many of the play-in teams may be conference champs; the rest actually do have to be at-large teams? That's why the play-in winner slides into a #11 or #12 slot on the bracket, I think.

Also, the committee does all it can to avoid both HBCU conferences being in the play-in's in the same year.

Yes, and good point about the HBCU's. never realized that until now.

If we go undefeated in BSC play next season, I think some major changes are in store for the off season, along with a couple really good recruits coming to the mountain.

What on earth are you smoking? Unless John Wooden is coming back from the dead to coach us next season, we aren't going undefeated in BSC play next year.

an undefeated season was not my idea. someone else had mentioned it in a post of this thread. I would have laughed if someone had posted something about "a winning season".

Larry Blair is not walking through that door...
Now he was a great player to watch. Having him was like having a walking highlight reel. I tried looking on Youtube for some of his highlights and couldn't find any though. If someone has a link, I would love to watch some more of him.
