Biggest game of the Year, because it's Bloop Night!!! If anyone needs tickets - go by any of the Lynchburg locations and we will have tickets ti the game available.

Thanks for the heads up, Proto. You know it has been awhile since TBGBG has been around when a thread on this topic can list more than five minutes without one of his notorious takes on their school name.

Go Flames, Beat Radford!

Hopefully a good local gets a uniform before tonight's game and hits the winning shot!! (that statement was for Haize) :D

I predict more people will be at the Glass / Heritage game tonite. At least more security! They are 1/2 in the Seminole. And have 1 or 2 players who could contribute at LU. Not sure they'd all fit the Liberty Way....but that's never stopped us before :D

58-56 Liberty with 8:37 left in the 2nd half. Just realized we get CSS down here in Fort Myers.

Why is coronado in the game right now?

Agreed. Gotta question the coaching decision of leaving a 48% FT shooter in there when you know they're going to foul.

We almost lost because of all our turnovers

Well he hit two big ones so in retrospect (on this night at least) it was a good decision. Good win for the guys going into this road stretch

A positive result does not mean the decision was the correct one. Statistically, it was the wrong move.

Based on his season history I do agree that statistically it was not a good idea. That said, on this night, though he had only two points, they were two critical points

Didn't see the game but when he was in did LU need to get a rebound? You sort of have to have the ball first before they can foul you,

Even if you were meaning to be sarcastic PH, JR got a rebound off a missed free throw with LU up two and hit both of his to put us up four. Radford got within two again but Davon and Andrew then iced it with their free throws

No. Wasn't being sarcastic. Based on what you describe it was a good move. Without that rebound Radford has the ball with a chance to tie or go ahead. Even if he'd missed the FT's Radford still had to use clock to get the ball up.

Did anyone see Cider Jim being interviewed on the FSN at the half?

No, but that needs to get up on YouTube ASAP.

Cider personally stated to me he was going to put out a challenge to Harvard and Yale but the 4 minute shot clock he had for the interview expired.

I would agree if Liberty was shooting the free throws and needed an offensive rebound, but it was Radford who was shooting. Any decent box out nearly guarantees the rebound goes to the defense in that situation and I would rather have a better shooter on the floor at that point.

We have plenty of other guys who can rebound missed FTs.

He's a big dude and its something he does very well. No one was going to push him under the basket. It's a no brainer. It even says so on page 17 of the Upward book.

Coronado is by far our best rebounder. I would say right now either Smith ((who was in the game on the other side of the lane) or JVP are next best but I don“t think Layer has ever played Coronado and JVP together. Radford is the best offensive rebounding team in the BSC. IMHO it was right to have those 2 where they were to give us the best chance to secure the rebound.
