I'll be honest, I haven't paid much attention to you guys so far this season, but I am surprised at your slow start. Looking at the stats it seems that Sanders is struggling this year so far. Has he been injured or are teams just gearing towards stopping him?

JC really was recruited as more of a Jeremy Anderson type (mostly brought in to shoot) and he has had to become more of a facilitator and ballhandler like his brother was.

The entire squad has struggled. We started off the season with nearly our entire frontcourt out due to injury. While most of those players have since returned we have had trouble developing a rhythm offensively.

Can the Flames pull off the win tonight? Another winnable conference game but tough. I watched Longwood nearly knock this team off a week ago. Liberty beat them in the Vines by 4 last year. I think they need to keep the score in the 50's and 60's if they have a chance to win.

Will consider it a moral victory if we lose by less than 12. :) Unfortunately there is not a place to record moral victories.

I like Vanderpol game since he came back. I feel he has improved from last year.

Dare I say that this reminds of a few seasons in the past decade where we looked awful in non-conference only to get our act together in the safe confines of the Big South. If we can play defense like that most nights we'll have a chance to win.

LOVE this kids game. IMO, he could be a huge difference maker for us. But my opinion doesn't matter :D

way to finally play hard for the entire 40 minutes and it paid off. We aren't that good offensively and that isn't going to change but if we can get things together on the defensive end of the floor we can be tough everynight in the Big South.

agreed with that postie. that was a solid defensive performance and to see Gielo play so well was encouraging. nice win. always good to beat coastal.
