I'm not sure about Don McLean's baking skills Sly, but his signature song is as apple as American Pie.

Nice catch ... corrected.

All I could think of doing the alumni list was Ruland in those ridiculously ugly Bullets uniforms.

They've already lost to the Flames once this season, so just maybe...

I would say with confidence that the teams is not as bad as their record indicates. There's a lot of nice pieces on this team. They still have a chance to put everything together for conference play.

I remember the first time I heard of this school my dad was telling a joke where the punchline was ... I own a college. Yeah, it is still lame three decades later.

Chip Langdon was the 1st guy from my HS to get a full ride division 1 scholarship. He was my teammate. I almost followed him to Iona and then I was going to walk on a Michigan State because Judd Heathcote was interested in me but I ended up at Liberty. Let's just say that I'm not interested in contacting Chip to get a bet on who's school will win tomorrow. Iona is pretty good. Pretty, Pretty, Pretty good.

16 threes hit by Iona. AJ English has 5. I played against his dad at VA Union. He also played a couple of years for the Bullets back in the early 90's. He was the only guy I played against that told me what he was about to do and I still couldn't stop him. He was nice. I would have loved to see AJ III in a Liberty Uniform.

BTW Ohio State is struggling with Winthrop. Up 1 at half but now lead by 9. I was hoping to see Liberty do what Wintrop is doing...Play a tough team on the road very well.

Alex 'One Thing I Can Do, Is Finger Roll' English? From The Nuggets with T.R. Dunn Dan Issel and Fat Lever who also starred in Amazing Grace and Chuck?

No Alex English is a bit older than us Haize. I think they are related though if I remember correctly. Alex English's Nuggets were still in the ABA with Bobby Jones and company when AJ and me were still kids.
