So let me get this straight, the Jourdan kid turned down Mercer to NOT uproot his family (girlfriend, daughter, mom) but came to LU instead...
What he brought them to Lynchburg? That's not uprooting from Oakland :dontgetit
And also. Can't. Believe. Someone. Would. Type. OR Write. That. In. The. Blog.

Lang has a nice article in today's paper about the team AFTER Jesse, but I don't think it has made the online version yet.

Great piece on Jesse.

I'm particularly interested in this line from coach Layer:
Asked if that means he wants to speed up the tempo this season, Layer said, “We’ll sure experiment with that.”
One of my biggest concerns with the team last season was the speed, and Layer answered some of those questions. I'd like to see us pick up the defensive pressure at 3/4 court, and run a little bit on offense. We were certainly limited last season numbers wise, but I think with the addition of 5 guys who have played some JuCo ball, we'll be able to dig a little deeper on the bench.

I agree with the South Divison predictions by the blogger.... I think Winthrop and PC will battle for last, GW has 2 transfers that could move them up a bit. Coastal will win it, CSU hasnt EVER had these expectations, will be interesting to see how they handle it.
