Can anybody fix the grammar to the point that I can read it?

I think it's the fault of A) the coach B) the guy in charge the conference's biggest athletic budget. Talk about not getting enough bang for the buck. Can't we get a 'Moneyball' AD in?

Let's put it this way: being this low on the RPI makes me think that we didn't have it so bad during the Mel Hankinson days.

You guys act like our RPI has been this low for the last 5 years. Let’s have a little RPI history lesson:

2003: 258
2004: 161
2005: 212
2006: 316
2007: 285
2008: 256
2009: 151
2010: 232
2011: 184
2012: 333

That’s the last 10 seasons. 3 under Layer, 2 Mckay, and 5 RD. McKay had the best RPI season, and 2 of our top 3 have been post-RD and during JB’s tenure.

Best seasons based on RPI past 10 years:
RD - #2, 4, 7, 8, 9
McK - #1, 6
DL - #3, 5, 10

I was only able to collect data from Hanky’s last 2 seasons and we were 346 and 304 those 2 years. So, Liberty4life, no we don’t have it anywhere near as bad as when Hanky was here.

What point are you trying to make? If it's that $$$ = wins, then we are not getting enough bang for our buck because we spend the most $$$ in the Big South. Which was my point. If you're saying that $$$ is NOT correlated to wins, well, then that was my point - then we should be looking for a 'Moneyball' type solution where we can get wins without spending $$$. We are getting the worst of both worlds.

I was being sarcastic. Hanky was awful. Any coach who proudly proclaims heading into the last week of the season that he started to install the second of his three part defense... well, that's pretty lousy. But hey, thanks for the research.

Didn't pick up on the sarcasm since it fit right in with your typical negative nancy posts.

Exactly, I think our problem is we don't wear ties on game day

Do a search on Big south tournament finishes last 10 years...
That's more important than RPI.

Well we know BSC regular season was:

2003- 2nd
2004- 1st
2005- 2nd
2006- 8th
2007- 3rd
2008- 4th
2009- 3rd
2010- 6th
2011- 2nd
2012- 9th 0r 10th.

RD has had 4 of the top 6. RM 1 of top 6. DL 1 of top 6. Hank 4 of the bottom 6.

What we need is some who can identify the Gabe Martin's, Ryan Mantlo's, Harry Williams, Bj Jenkins, Leo Lightbourne's, Dwight Brewington's, Larry Blair's, Alex McLean's and Anthony Smith's get them here based on Dr. Falwell's vision and work to impact their life with Spiritual/success life values in order to redirect their life journey. For any of us engaged in the culture of today's youth it is not any easy task, but one that is so needed.

Wait, by that account that means that the world's greatest coach lost three straight in the first round of the lowly rated Big South. According to someone on this board the tournament is what matters. Oh right, that's unless your RD who doesn't need to be accountable for three straight first round loses with all the amazing talent he recruited. Everyone else is held to the truth and must suffer consequences but not the beloved RD. Now I get it.

Of course he should be accountable for resources given and performance. But to not give him an extension is pitiful. Otherwise than if DL doesn't win a BSC Tournament game this year he is 0-3 and should be fired?

I'd like to take this a step further, and include record as the "higher seed/favorite" each year.

2003 - 1-1
2004 - 3-0
2005 - 0-1
2006 - 0-0
2007 - 0-1
2008 - 1-0
2009 - 1-0
2010 - 0-0
2011 - 0-1

RD: 4-3
RM: 2-0
DL: 0-1
