I know a lot of things I shouldn't, since I was 28 when I got saved, but not too much about gambling - I'm too cheap.

Last bet I lost was while sitting at a bar, I bet a guy that one of the next three guys to come to bat
would get a hit. The guys? As I recall, Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Bobby Bonds.

$5 in those days seemed like a lot of money. I could afford it - I just didn't like it.

Is it really that ridiculous to mention Randy Dunton's name? Yes, it's been several years. But he came back to rescue Liberty five years after this first tenure.

And wasn't LU dead last in the RPI when RD took over? The fact is, the only 2 LU coaches to beat UVa (RD and McKay) often take the most abuse on this board, but for very different reasons.

Recently I have been challenged by the thoughts that "great endings begin with the next step!" It is imperative to the next right thing. If we wait for the capacity to do the whole thing we may never begin. Whatever God puts in front of us it will equal our capacity. Serving others will not always be convenient and may bring a level of discomfort. Hence this week I have agreed to become Head Wome...n's basketball coach at Virginia University of Lynchburg, a Historical Black University in Lynchburg (Not really the road map I had envisioned). President Reavis asked me to consider the challenge of joining the VUL team. VUL dropped athletics in 1956 and reinstated the program this year. So this week I began a new journey with 19 wonderful young women. It is amazing to see how the our personal God story unfolds. He does bring triumphs out of disappointments.

Signed up the end of last week. Already had 3 practices & things going well.

I see it as a good thing.... am excited.

He will have the community behind him in no time and yes we will see why he took us from worst to first. The man can flat out coach.
