Brandan Stith
6’ 6” 175 lbs SF
Lawrenceville (VA) Brunswick High School

Son of UVA legend Bryant Stith. I hear he’s getting heavy interest from VCU as well. His younger brother, BJ Stith a 10th grader, has already committed to UVA.

The entire UVA coaching staff was at his game last night as Brunswick beat the defending 3A state champs IC Norcom.

Brandan had 27 points, 14 rebounds, 5 blocked shots.

I think UVA may be offering him soon.

Many times, but he's right in this case. I think it's either UVA or VCU at this point unless something changes.

Let us know what you think of him and his brother. And there will be one white guy on their bench. I hear he's a good fella' You should introduce yourself.

Can I do it with a tech?
Sure, if it's deserving

Sounds like it will have to be a tech on the BENCH.

Hey, we didn't make him foul. 8) 2 quick one's in the first quarter. Came in for 1 minute in the 2nd quarter to pick up his 3rd. He didn't foul out, though. Had a nice put back dunk. Majority of his points came off of rebounds.

Besides, it was the Halifax coach that got T'd up early. I had nothing to do with that one.

In this situation, it's more the other way around.

Brandan is considering Virginia among offers from Charlotte, Ohio and Liberty.

Virginia wants Brandan to take a year at prep school and not enroll until 2014. The only spots left in the Class of 2013 are for a point guard and a center. Brandan said he has thought a lot about waiting a year, and he's warming up to it.

Waiting Sucks Brandon - You need to play RIGHT NOW. A year is a long time - a lot could happen - take the guaranteed scholarship and play at Liberty!!! ;)

Go to a place like Hargrave and you could get some even bigger offers

I knew you would screw it up BJ... I was being sarcastic - I know that, you obviously know that, but now he knows that - Thanks for single-handedly destroying our basketball program!!!

That totally worked for Evan Gordon. Had offers from Penn State, Butler, etc. coming out of high school but went to Hargrave to get better offers but failed as Liberty was his best offer.

Its largely a crapshoot but it is very possible for someone to go the prep school route and pick up some better looks. places like Hargrave Military Academy, Fork Union Military Academy, Notre Dame Prep, Bridgton Academy, etc are a good route, the downside though is that everybody on those teams is looking at getting those big time offers and itll depend on how a coach wants to play people. If he played for Coach Keatts at Hargrave, unless he displayed the same issues that he did right before he transferred out, I can see why teams might shy away from him.
