EKU has played 3 games so far:
@ Miss St L 76-66
@ Winthrop W 71-59
@ Presby L 78-50

Another good test for us.

Seems like a pretty winnable game. Just do what we did last night, should be an easy W.

Hard to say it should be an "easy W" when they already have a W @ Winthrop by double digits on their resume. I agree it appears winnable, but not what I would classify as an "easy W."

My question would be, what happened with the Presby game? I know Presby isn't bad, but for EKU to get blown out like that, it makes me feel pretty good about this one.

EKU loves to shoot the three (with just about everyone on their roster)...against WU, they made 12 (shooting 40% from behind the arc). Against PC, they were 1 of 19. Also, their defense allows you open looks from three....WU missed theirs (4 for 19), PC made theirs (10 for 22).

EKU is not good at rebounding (they've been dominated on the boards in all three of their games)....so they are definitely beatable if you can get 2nd chances and make some outside shots.

Sounds like a perfect recipe for our team to get another W. We are a solid rebounding team and have some shooters. If JCS and Minaya keep shooting the way they have been, we should be able to pull it out.

I don't think there are many games this season that will be easy wins. We will grind them out and win some we probably shouldn't and lose some we probably shouldn't but we are far from being in the position to say anything will be easy.

Winnable? Yes. Easy? No way

When did Ritchie McKay start coaching them?

Neubauer was a long time John Belien assistant. He runs a very similar system to Belien. Like Winthrop fan said earlier they shoot a ton of 3's and they barely even attempt to rebound the ball.

Is it just me or does the head coach look like a cleaned up version of wormtail from harry potter?

saw that EKU and W&M will be available on Full Court. I think the free trial is still going on so I will be watching on the big screen tonight! :D

And ESPN 3.

I know I've said it before but if you have a provider who allows espn3 you need xbox live. For $50 a year + internet, you get just about every college game out there on your TV. It's much easier and smoother than trying to hook up an S cable and all that.

Comcast doesn't do much right but allowing ESPN3 is awesome for a college fan.

09, I usually watch our games on the local 13.2 subchannel. I have a mac so it's not that bad to hook it up to the screen (which I had to do for the GWebb football game).

Yeah you'd think that he didn't even show up. He can't hit anything tonight.

Really just a combination of poor shooting, and not be able to play EKU's tempo. Perfect storm for a loss. But LU still has a chance.

And lack of defense last few trips down = 10-point deficit.
