I think we win this one since they are even more depleted. Ashville scares me right now (as does VMI) so I think I'll cheer for CSU.

Only problem is we're gonna lose in the Semis. Why you may ask? Well simply put, the game will be on ESPNU.

yes you're correct but it's the only one I think. I was there at the game in Roanoke way back when I was in middle school lol.

Yeah lol. I was in 7th grade that year. I also remember watching the St. Joe's game. I was excited.

Haven't seen anyone bring this up yet... Just saw Vander Pol in a walking boot. Not sure if he is planning on playing tonight or not, but it's not looking too good.

Must mean the infection in his foot hasn't healed. It's not good because JVP has played better since about the VMI game.

I wouldn't read too much into that. Players wear walking boots all the time even for minor injuries just to keep the pressure off the foot in between practices/games. Not saying he'll play, but the boot is not necessarily an indication that he won't.

here is Lang's article in the fishwrap today. see JB's quote...LOL
http://www2.newsadvance.com/sports/2011 ... ar-874919/
“I’m confident in myself,” Brown said. “I see this team as being pressed against the wall. We finished like we did and we have such a quick turnaround. We need to come out with energy and with tenacity. … Me, Jesse, David (Minaya), we’re going to have to be stressing that. We don’t have any more time for B.S., or whatever. It’s time to win. This is what I came here to do. I came here to win a championship. … It’s business time.”

John Brown will go down as one of my favorite players for the Flames. His role reminds me a lot of Leo Lightborne's stint with the Flames years ago. Rebounding, energy and the ability to come up with a big play to motivate the team.

I didn't know Maxwell for HPU quit recently. He was called for two flagrant fouls in the first VMI game, ejected, and plus the Tech foul on Cherry, those 6 (made  ) FT's helped VMI to the win that particular night.

You guys win, but my .02, I think the game in Lynchburg will be the closest margin of any of the four games tonight. Barbour will hang 35 or so on you, but I see Jesse Sanders putting the game away late at the foul line.

My thoughts exactly. HP has nothing but Barbour. He's good, no doubt.

What makes you say this since (if I remember correctly) we kinda neutralized Barber earlier this year in the Vines.

Shine isn't that bad if he can get open slashes to the hoop...clog up that middle though, and he is average.
