So question. Would Holloway's presence on the ballot have changed your tweet?

When will there be an actual blog post or article on this?

I don't think there is any doubt that Holloway would have been POY had he not been suspended.

Talk about overdue. We should have had at least 3 or 4 POY by now. Aluma should have had at least 2 and Nwosu 1 for sure.

It would have been hard to justify Holloway not getting it if he were not suspended.

Anyone know who else was on the 1st team? JB should have been.

Never mind.

Yeah I think JB should have gotten the nod over either Dickey or Warren. I looked at Dickey and Warren’s stats though, and it’s hard to complain about either. If JB would have averaged around 14ppg instead of 11, he gets it hands down.

And I thought the Big South hated you guys? And yet you get the first point guard POY since I've been following the league (15 years now)...Surprised to finally see it happen, point guards that aren't primarily scorers have had a hard time cracking even the 2nd team all-conference in most years (see Chris Gaynor)..

Aluma was great- but Josh Pittman was just as great & on the better team.. TL Latson pick was a joke though- you'll get no complaints from me on that one..

Congrats to Jesse Sanders because I really feel that LU is not nearly the same team without him- he really is the guy that makes so many things happen for your team. Without him LU's record is easily middle of the pack for the Big South- no disrespect intended, it's just that's what I feel Jesse means to LU..

Warren has been overrated since his sophomore year. JB led the league in rebounding and shooting percentage. How often does a player do that and not be first team all conference?

Yea, how do you lead the league in Rebounds and score like that and not get first team? Anyway, I agree Lang, Holloway would have won. Good thing for the conference he was suspended before the awards.

I agree with you but look at it objectively:

17.5 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 2.8 apg, 44% fg, 37% 3fg, 87% fts

11.5 ppg, 10.7 rpg, 1.3 apg, 52% fg, 0-1 from 3, 56% ft

You could make a case for either one. It's definitely not clear cut.

Corbin was more consistent than Gordon all conference season. Gordon had some big games, but he also disappeared for stretches.

The answer to the "where is Evan" question?

Pouting on the bench.

I agree with Lang that he was inconsistent, but hard for me to leave him off the second team.

I want to congratulae Sanders and Coach Layer for their awards. Jesse does all "that work" with what it appears to be a minimum effort, it is impressive. And Coach did a great job molding that roster into a 2nd place team. He deserves the accolade.

Now, win by 20 tomorrow nite. :!:
