Im just going to say it... we NEED a win here. Not for standing in the conference but for overall morale for our team going into the tournament.

If UNCA loses to Coastal Tuesday, you'll have four teams at 8-8 in conference.

The incentive for LU is if they can beat WU now, they likely don't see them at all until the tourney final if then. I don't think WU would lose both of their last two at home, which would put them in the 4/5 game.

(400 posts on an enemy board...impressive eh?) :D

Is it me or in that picture could Coach Peele be Dale Gibson's twin brother?!?!? Anyone ever seen them in the same room at the same time together? :?:

I think a win is important here but I dont think that all this hand wringing is necessary going in.

Should be a good game. I'm hoping WU comes out ready to play and we don't find ourselves in our customary 15 point hole. Obviously, this game is big for us for seeding in the tournament.

The two games this weekend at Winthrop (Thur at 7pm) and at Presbyterian (Sat at 7:30pm) will be televised by the FSN on the Liberty Channel. The radio call will be married with the video.

Nice! I like watching ya'lls TV duo---especially SCAR. They are tops in the conference IMO---there are some dreadful crews in the BSC.

I agree on Ray and SCAR but you won't get to hear them for these games. It will be a video feed (I guess from from the BSC) with our radio guy Alan York on the call. He also does a great job.

Oh, well. BTW last time I heard York was on my way back from Lexington last year when you guys got the late start against PC. And I agree, he does a great job.

This game makes me nervous. I haven't given up any hope - just afraid that we don't start to forget how to win. This is the wrong time of the year to get cold.

We're going to lose tonight. And we'll beat Presby. You're all welcome for the optimism. :D

Why the h*** are your worried, jbock? I thought LU was destined to lose tonight anyway. That is, of course, according to your brilliant insight. BTW, I love the stats you use to support your statements....not.

Okay... stats.

We lost to a not that great VMI team.

We lost to Iona in a laugher.

There ya go. Some stats.

Now, I'm still trying to find your stats... I'll keep looking.

Turnovers and missed foul shots are the story so far. When you shoot 45% in a half you normally expect to score more than 22 points.
