For the record, this is arguably the biggest regular season conference game in our program's history. Seriously.

CCU is legit but not invincible.

I agree. Biggest game in our regular season. Home court advantage would be HUGE for us - with all of the young guys we have.

Can't wait for this one.

According to the CCU website, right now there are no viewing options ... just audio & live stats. Surely somebody at CCU will find a way to get a simple camera combined with their radio feed ready by Thursday for the Big South Network. Then again, we are talking about something that Kyle could find a way to mess up.

Come on CCU. You are the best athletic program in the conference surely you will have this game on ESPN3. After all we have had our games vs GW, Radford, and HPU on there.

I think Coastal is actually better now without Holmes. This will be a tough game to win.

I'm afraid we will have to play better than we did in the Vines to beat these guys in the chicken coop. That game was not as close as the final score. We got some ridiculously hot shooting down the stretch to give us a chance, but if a couple of those 3s don't go down, we could easily have lost by 10 or more. It would be a mistake to think our job is easier because they don't have Holmes. McLauren is good. Obviously they aren't as deep, but it looks like their chemistry is even better.

Having said that, I really believe in this team, and don't think we have played our best game yet. It is definately winnable.

The flip side is true, as well. If Evan hits that 3 at the end, it's a tie game and we've got a shot headed in to OT. If the hot streak continued in to OT, we might have won that game.

We do matchup much better without Holmes there but Gray is still going to give us fits.

If Evan hits that 3 it's basically a miracle comeback, and we still have to beat them in OT. It's just one man's opinion, but I left the Vine's that night with the impression that although we competed extremely well, they outplayed us, and probably should have won by more than 3.

We let their guards get to the rim way too much that night. I have a feeling that is being addressed, and if we can make them shoot more jump shots, I believe we can win.

They have the best streaming team in the conference. It'll be on the BSN.

If they plan on having more than 300 people in the "arena" they probably can't fit a camera in there.

I haven't had much luck with games that are broadcast from Kimbel. When WU played there earlier this season, their BSN feed (and the corresponding channelsurfing broadcast) was very choppy and rarely was a smooth broadcast. And WU's radio team kept having problems with getting their stream out (where they've had pretty good luck in every other building), forcing the WU radio announcer to call most of the 2nd half on his cell phone to the radio station, who broadcasted it from there.

They've got a great team that works on it and the guy who runs it is really good. The crappy part is JumpTV aka the problem we all have with streaming.

Thursday: Liberty at Coastal Carolina -- This is put up or shut up time for the Flames. The Chanticleers' Mike Holmes has been booted off the team, but Coastal still has weapons. Desmond Holloway and Chad Gray are playing well for Coastal Carolina, but this is a must-win game for Liberty.

They have shot well all year. Their schedule was week and I think if we can amp up the pressure from time to time to create TOs to get easy baskets. In half court game, we lose. It would be nice to have a "stopper" in the middle to dissuade their guards from penetrating. Nonetheless, team defense and team rebounding will have to be really good. The 2-3 does stop some penetration but exposes us to Raffa and Hollaway outside. Still a winnable game. They put on their jocks . . . . .

Charleston Southern, UNCA and Coastal were also on there I believe. They like our production value I think. Our crew does a really professional job.

When will we know if this is going to be on ESPN3 or not? Me and my RA are trying to watch the game in his room so we can get a ton of guys on the hall to watch.

I never thought Mark Adams would read the comment I posted on his "Mid Major Watch" report but he probably does. Mark Adams wrote this last week in his report:
Coastal Carolina has won 16 straight, and the Chanticleers are dominating the Big South. Pack your bags for a trip to Conway, S.C., for the Big South tournament. My only question is who the Chanticleers will play in the NCAA tournament after the beach party in Conway.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=6053318

I than made the following comment:
Does Mark Adams know that they are only 1 game up on Liberty who is 8-1. Also I don't believe he knows that one of their best players if not the best Mike Holmes is off the team for the remainder of the season. I am not so sure if they will be participating in the NCAA tournament and hence you can forget about a beach party in Conway. There is a good possibility that the freedom bells will be ringing in Lynchburg as Liberty makes its way to the dance.
So Mark Adams' recent comment leads me to believe that he does read peoples comments.

I already responded over there, but the fact that they haven't sold out every game is pathetic. WU is having an awful attendance year, yet the smallest crowd would still easily overflow Kimbel.
