This is a team I really do hope we beat by 30 on the road! If you can't get up for Radford (even when they are bad) then you don't belong at Liberty!

It seems I have been the self-appointed voice of cautious optimism here lately, but I believe this is a game we should win by double didgets. I was really surprised to see they had beaten HP though, and that scares me just a little, but not much. They're pretty bad.

I dislike radford. A lot. Wish they had a football team so we could beat them in that too.

Their leading rebounder is Jonathon Edwards.

I don't believe they are any cheaper.

Wow Radford has been pretty bad. Please believe that they are capable of beating the Flames though. However I expect this to be sort of a close game with the Flames coming out on top. I am looking forward to being there though! This will be my 1st Flames Sports Network road game! Go Flames!

I am adjusting my weekend plans to make sure to catch the new Daddy-fied version of Scarvision is up to the old standards.

I am curious as to whether having LU coming to town will actually draw many RU fans. Even when they re atrocious, you would think playing the Flames would get some of them out to Dedmon.

One thing radford doesnt have is a dominant big like they had with Art Parakhouski and they are being exposed pretty badly as evidenced by their losing nine in a row and 12 of their last 14 with 11 of those losses by 10 points or more and six of those by 20 points or more including a 34 point embarrassment at VMI yesterday while we were in a dogfight with HPU. We should win this game pretty readily but dont be surprised to see Radford getting extra up for this game because of the riviary that the two teams have had that extends well back I would think into the Jeff Meyer era when radford was a regular visitor to the Big Dance

Check your facts BJ. Radford never went to the NCAA tournament during the time Jeff Meyer coached Liberty. They have gone twice. In 98 during the Hanky era, and then 09.

thanks for the correct olld...for some reason I thought they had been more often than that...even so I would still probably put Radford and VMI as our two biggest rivals in basketball

There is absolutely no doubt that in the 90s there was a genuine rivalry between RU and LU. Only Virginia Tech and the BSC tournament have drawn crowds to the Vines like we got for RU, and the atmosphere was electric. For several years running, both teams won at home and lost on the road. Our current "streak" of 2 in a row at Dedmon is actually a first.

It was the Radford women who were dominant then.

Radford was back in the early 90s what LU is now. They were the perennial NCAA tournament team from the BSC until LU got their run started in 97.

He's talking about Women's Hoops in the Men's Hoops thread. I think this is where the confusion is coming from...

any D1 team should be horribly embarrassed if they lose to this squad.
