A Sea Of Red

We've got a big game coming up on Friday evening at 5:30. It's definitely a winnable game, but we haven't done much on the road this year.

The second half of a big doubleheader with the Lady Tar Heels coming in at 3. Looking forward to it.....

I am so tempted to make the trip to G-W and UNCA. I wouldn't have to actually take any time off work because we are closed Friday, but I really should be using the long weekend to get cought up on some paperwork. Maybe I'll just go Friday to see the G-W game, but I hate the idea of going all that way for one game when Ashville is so close. Decisions, decisions.

This is a big weekend for us. If we can somehow sneak at least one win out we'll be sitting pretty after our first 4 conference games.

I hope this is on channel surfing. Typically Gdubb has had all their games with us on it. I just got back from Nooga watching the Dr. pepper "classic". Has anyone ever been to UTC and seen their arena? I wish we could do what they did to our Vines center with the upper deck its awesome.

We're putting lots of pressure on them in the backcourt.

We are up 5-3 early, as Evan has scored all our points. No channelsurfing yet and no live stats.

5-5 on a jump hook for G-W.

Evan misses.

They miss a layup, get an offensive board, and get fouled. Going to the line.

6-5 G-W after he splits them.

We turn it over. Then they get an and-1. Jesse with 2 already.

It's now 8-5 G-W, and Jesse has 2 early fouls.

8-5 after he misses the free one.

JVP turns it over.

G-W misses.

We turn it over again. Minaya with a bad catch. Not a good start.

They miss a three and a putback.

15:40 left in the half.

JB misses.

They miss another three.

JB scores. 8-7 GW

JB makes it 8-7, but they respond with 3. 11-7

Their PG pulls from three and hits. 11-7.

We give it right back, foul on Chene (we won't have a PG at this rate.)

Minaya to John Brown, 11-9.

Foul on G-W after a missed shot. We have the ball, down 2. 11-9.

Minaya misses, we rebound. They steal. They lose it out of bounds.

Foul on JB away from the ball. 13:04 left. 11-9 GW.

They foul away from the ball as well. Give it right back.

We throw the ball away again. Very sloppy play.

We switch to a zone and execute well.

On offense, we miss, rebound, get it blocked, get it back, and then Evan hits a jumper. We take the lead.
