I have plans on going to the William and Mary game on Thursday night in Williamsburg but it looks like the snow may keep me home. I hope the guys have a good week of practice and are able to bounce back on Saturday.

I have a feeling snow is going to mess up a great deal of plans the next day or so. How often do we discuss snow-outs in Virginia?

We haven't had many over the years but last season we has significant snow. I ended up going to see UVA make up a game with UNC Wilmington that was a snow makeup game. I get the feeling this winter is going to be a rough too. I hope W&M still get to play even if I can't make it out there.

To be fair, last year's snow-outs were extreme circumstances. More than a foot of snow both in Charlottesville and Lynchburg, making it extremely dangerous for fans and workers to travel to the arena. They're only calling for 3-5 inches here today, same for Williamsburg. Unless Shenandoah waited until today to travel to the game, that one's getting played.
EDIT: Forgot that Shenandoah was in-state, so maybe they did wait til today. Still, 81 and 64 should be clear enough for them to get there.

As we can see by all this snow, global warming is taking over the entire earth. What's next, a low of 33 in Miami? (oh wait, that happened).

It's no longer called global warming it's refered to simply as climate change funny but true.

Can't argue that. 33 degrees in Miami is a "change".

I think I am going to try to make this game. I live close enough to the interstate. I should be fine. I don't necessarily like driving in bad weather but it would be nice to see the Tribe in person and since I have a media pass I may as well go.

I was just thinking about that game too. Zeb Cope, Adam Hess. I watched them play 3 nights before that game and they just seemed like a decent team. Then Saturday vs Liberty they shot them out of the Gym! It was crazy!

That's true. That was Mantlo and Martin's senior year and they did end up winning the tournament championship.

Danny Gathings (?) will always have a very special place in my heart for what he did.

Gathings is a really good guy. I keep up with him still. We talk every few months. He isn't playing hoops anymore. He is back in NC trying to get into coaching. He just had another child a little girl. He and AZ Reid are 2 of my fav Big South Players from over the years.
Back to William and Mary. They have 2 really good players but they are no where near as good as George Mason IMO. I think they will be competitive in the CAA though. Liberty can win this game but will have to play well to do so. I didn't get to go watch them play in person last night. I couldn't get permission to leave the house in that weather.

I'm really happy to hear that you keep up with Danny. I don't know him, but you can tell him that there's an old man in California that considers him a real American hero.

Doesn't look from their scores that this is a very strong W&M team. 3 or 4 20+ losses. Beat G-webb by 1 at home.

I'm sure everyone knows but just a reminder that all the students are gone so if you are in the area get out to the game so we don't have completely embarrassing attendance numbers.

Well it looks on TV like I'm not the only one who decided not to go at the last minute. I had a busted water heater abd flooded basement to deal with last night and today and I'm tired.

VanderPol gets the start.
WM hits a 3 right off the top and then Jesse hits for 2.
