Game #9: Presbyterian in Big South Opener

Wow, what a tough matchup to start off the Big South slate. They may not be eligible for the NCAA Tourney bid, but like we saw from Birmingham Southern a few years back they can make some noise and cause the rest of the league some fits. Even at 2-4 with both wins by a combined total of 3 points they have shown themselves to be talented & capable of making plenty of noise. Just ask K-State.

Burrus vs. Coleman is going to be a fun matchup to watch. Very similar players in style but Coleman has the edge in experience.

Wow, Coleman has been fouling a lot. He was a handful for us 2 years ago, but hopefully we match up better now with Antwan and Joel.

People around the league think a lot of Coleman and Presbyterian when Coleman is in the lineup. He didn't even play last year and he was voted pre-season 1st team all league. PC won 5 games last year but with the 3 redshirts coming back they got 4 1st place votes in the pre-season voting. This team is dangerous because they are talented and they have nothing to play for but the regular season. They want to come in 1st place in league games and in essense win a title. This one is going to be tough.

I don't know who is going to win but I wouldn't just say that PC is going to come in and win automatically. Home court means a lot in college basketball and if the students come out a little I think it could make a difference. Plus I don't see them being that much better than Liberty to tell the truth. They have a couple of kids in Troyli and Mutakabir that I like a lot not to mention Coleman but I don't think they are more talented than the young Flames. I actually see the Flames winning this one especially if the back court can find their shots. Gordon seemed to be getting back into form on Saturday for the most part.

dont disagree with your points SCAR and i hope your right. gordon will have to come up big and brown needs to keep playing well. burrus will need to come up big and a win would be huge for the program in the early season.

I'm still waiting for my shout out at the Montreat game from a few years ago!! "LU Basketball, where you too can find true love!!" You know I'll be watching! Why do you think I just switched to Direct TV? I mean besides the price....and the more HD channels......and the better DVR service....and the Big Ten Network......and the free movie channels......and the Tournamant Package....and the NFL Packagae...and the ability to watch SCAR - Diddy do some LU games!

Gotta say the football package alone is enough to switch! Better DVR interface too. It is the best!

I heard they are going to steal their next ad campaign from Chik Fil A. Instead of "Eat Mor Chikn" it will be "Watch Mor SCAR"!!!

Looking forward to rooting for the Flames in person. It's been awhile since I've been to a basketball game.

BS.

What else is there to do in Lynchburg at 9? Terrible, terrible turnout and there is no excuse for it.
