Tuesday night 7pm.

This game is a good test to see where we stack up against our level of competition.

They lost 77-60 @Florida in their only game.

And Buzz Peterson is their coach.

We should be able to take advantage of an unprepared team as Buzz has probably been on the phone all week looking for a different job.

I am going be busy tonight so let me post my thoughts in advance:

1. I think we win this game.
2. I expect another solid game from DM. He seems to have found his confidence.
3. I expect to see JC get more minutes based on his play at ND.
4. I look for Evan to take less shots but make more of the shots he takes.
4. I don't know how Buzz Peterson keeps getting head coaching jobs.

This game should really give us a much better handle of the strength of this year's team. Both of us have played up once and managed to not get blown out. I don't know where UNCW is picked in the CAA this year, but they generally are in the top half of the conference, and have won the conference tourney a time or 2 recently. Looking at their roster, it certainly doesn't look like we will be at any size disadvantage. It would be a nice win for us.

Buzz has apparently been working hard on the recruiting trail. He has signed 8 in the early period.

They were pretty bad last year - 9-22 and 5-13 in the CAA and they were picked to finish last this year in the preseason poll.

Their fans think this is a must win and will be an easy win against a "lower tier" big south team.

Scott Smith is reffing a game in which Buzz Peterson is coaching. That could be biased.

We've missed a few in the paint already. It's been up tempo and sloppy on both ends.


And UNCW has their camera settings and the record lights and everything coming through the feed. That's sad.

Brown just got two great athletic rebounds and finally got a put back out of it. This is my first time seeing him and I like it. Whoever said Joseph Harris was right.

No one's looking to finish when they drive and we don't look comfortable on offense at all.

We drew a charge but then Jesse fouled when they trapped him.

Jesse and JC had a little fun going back and forth on the last possession and then Antwan knocked down a nice mid-range jumper.

We're not very good at all. We have no one who can hit a shot, be it from the line or the floor. We can't create offense, either.

Antwan has been very, very bad so far.

Jesse missed. Joel rebounds but gets blocked. We rebound again and Jesse goes up and gets fouls. Misses the shot. Made first. Missed second.

Minaya gets a steal. We botch the fast break completely.

Jesse misses a three.

They get an easy layup on the in bounds play. 28-13

Jesse has a good post move and dishes to Brown. 28-15.

JB gets a steal. Ball goes through Anderson's legs on the fast break. 5th turnover of the night.

They miss the shot, get the rebound, and we foul on the put back.
