Pretty impressive for UNCA to get Roy and crew to come in and help open their new building...

Jealous! That's pretty cool. Hopefully UNCA can generate enough excitement with Asheville fans for them to get the tickets before the UNC fans fill the place.

VMI tried that in 1996, when they hosted UNC.........didn't work. About 7 weeks before the game, they put those tickets on sale as "single game". wound up a 60/40 crowd (VMI/UNC), out of 4800.
(That was the largest crowd in Cameron Hall until this past January, when you all and us filled Cameron w/5,020)

That will be really tough since Roy hasn't coached a game there since he was a high school coach. There are a lot of people that will buy tickets to see that.

Got a quick glimpse of the new arena today at UNCA. Thought I would hook everyone up with a picture... Looks a little bigger than the old one:)

a. I don't care who you are, that little ledge in the north end zone is pretty tight.
b. What that picture doesn't show is the massive number of seats we have behind the players benches. Our new arena seats 18 on one side (only 15 if we are talking about the UNCA Dance Team) and 3,000 on the other.

i got a last minute phone call and drove all the way from myrtle beach to lexington for that game. i sat on press row for the game at cameron hall under the guise of a reporter for wdbj7...even though i was actually still a student at ccu at the time. i even got to go back in the locker room for the interview with michelangelo afterwards, which was pretty cool for this die-hard tarheel fan. it was just a few games before dean took over the top spot in all-time wins. actually, one of the keydets' better players at that time was a teammate of mine at martinsville high.
back on topic...unc, b/c of buzz peterson, was actually 'supposed to be' lined up as coastal's first opponent in their new YRT2 arena that never came to fruition.

Haha man I've known Jermaine since like '97. Crazy to see a photo of one of my high school friends on some random dude's message board signature. Used to go by "The Therapist" and some of his stuff was waaaaaaaaack. He has improved immensely.
