That is correct..he is an ATHLETE fill the stands with some people. Liberty might be looking at a title run with these JUCO transfers

This kid averaged 5 and 6 at the Citadel. Calm down.

I said in the other thread that he sounds like Konan. Konan averaged 6.9 and 4.4.

Actually, I just compared Brown’s RFr season stats at the Citadel to Konan’s from this past season. They are eerily similar:
Brown averaged 19.9 mins, 58% fg, 0/4 from 3, 39% FT, 6.3 rpg, 69 fouls, fouled out 4 times, 19 assists, 40 TOs, 11 blocks, 5.0 ppg.
Konan averaged 20.3 mins, 54% fg, 3/7 from 3, 55% FT, 4.4 rpg, 72 fouls, fouled out 4 times, 17 assists, 41 TOs, 9 blocks, 6.9 ppg.

What does that have to do with anything?

It's solid, but it does not equate to "he is an ATHLETE fill the stands with some people. Liberty might be looking at a title run with these JUCO transfers"

two juco transfers in the Big South can elevate a team to the top...and we dont have any fun to watch players, an athlete will bring people in (Gabe Martin)

I agree with all of that. Let's hope that's the case with us this year.

Hopefully he worked on his free throws at JC.
Congrats to Coach Layer on the Class of 2010. This is a vast improvement over the position of the program one year ago.

Bumping around I see where John is the nephew of Georgia State coach Rod Barnes. Interesting.

I do hear we can expect a little more from him then what Pat was bringing....if that's the case then we'll all be thrilled and sitting pretty.

That strategy worked for RD (sort of).

This letter is in and you can probably expect an SID release later today. I'll have a story in tomorrow's fishwrap kind of wrapping up all of the loose ends of spring -- transfers, signings, schedule news, etc.

You expect all the loose ends wrapped up in time to write that story?

Well, maybe not every loose end. But this has been the first time I've had a chance to chat with Layer since the end of the season (baseball and prep phone calls have taken over my life). I suppose by loose ends I meant the stuff I haven't been able to get to that you guys have already discussed here, but with some Layer commentary thrown in. You might want to look for something interesting happening in your neck of the woods Thanksgiving weekend, BTW.

OK, that's a major tease ... if it is hoops related then I have been hearing the rumors for some time now. Hopefully something has been nailed down and I'd love to hear about it.

Sounds like we will be hosting a "Classic". Back in the Meyer days we did one sponsored by Pepsi for several years.

In Sly's neck of the woods, oldflame, not ours.
