Interesting. Is he choosing to go pro in Europe?

1-2) Coastal/Winthrop
3-6) Asheville/PC/Liberty/HPU
7-8) VMI/Radford
9-10) CSU/G-W
I think a successful season for us will be a top four finish and a win in the first round.

Agreed, although I'd put CSU on the 7-9 line with VMI and Radford.

That'd be fair cause I think they finish 9th.

Yeah, I see them having a better chance at finishing 7th than 10th, and I don't see GW getting out of the basement.

Until our roster is set and we have an idea of who will and will not be playing for us, I don't wanna get too involved in this version of this discussion.

Losing Trifunovic hurts Radfurd big time. They are going to be a really young team next year.

You completely left out UNCA. Based on our recent history against them, that may have been wishful thinking.

Waaaay too early with recruiting classes not even being completed but what the heck...
UNCA loses the least so therefore they are my favorite
Winthrop loses two starters and I still don't see how they score more than 55 a game.
PC Complete crap shoot but I think they will be pretty darn good w/ their red shirts back
LU Everytime I see you guys play I see 5 of the same type of guy on the court...who steps up in the Post?
HPU Perhaps I underestimate them
Radford Very young, will count on the redshirts from last year and JUCO transfer.
CCU Lost two starters including their heart and soul Joe Harris.
CSU It's Charleston Southern.
VMI Reggie Williams and the Twins get further and further into the rear view mirror.
G-W It does not look good.

G-W in the basement, but with an 'inside scoop' I got this afternoon regarding the coaching search, I am MUCH encouraged that we are going to get a top-notch coach to build us back up.

Coastal does have some good young guards and easily the most talented player in the league (Chad Gray), but think a lot of you are underestimating how hard it will be for them to compensate for the loss of Harris, Johnson, and Edwards. Outside of Harris, the impact might not be that great from a statistical standpoint, but they were all three senior starters that played a lot of minutes and provided a lot of experience. I think they picked up another USC transfer, though I can't remember his name or his position.
High Point is losing Cruz Daniels (conference's best defender) and Eugene Harris, a guy they could count on to take some pressure off of Barber. Those guys will be tough to replace as well. UNCA, Liberty and Winthrop either didn't lose much or lost some players that they should be able to replace.
1. Winthrop
2. UNCA
3. Liberty
4. Coastal Carolina
5. Charleston Southern (gotta make things interesting)
6. Presbyterian
7. High Point
8. VMI
9. Radford
10. Gardner Webb

from jeff goodman
- Gardner-Webb is looking at ex-Charlotte assistant Rob Moxley, Ohio assistany Chris Holtmann (previously coached at Gardner-Webb), Mississippi State assistant Phil Cunningham and Belmont assistant Casey Alexander
Moxley or Cunningham would be a great hire.

Ha, it's funny that they didn't mention the fifth guy on their top five.

Seems like Moxley's name comes up for every open job in the mid-atlantic area but he never gets anything. I don't think he did so hot at Maryland.

Moxley was also a former G-W assistant back in 1995 as well...he came with Lutz from Pfiffer, and stayed for a year after Lutz bolted for UNCC after two weeks at the G-W helm.
Yeah SJ, kinda funny the fifth guy on the list, who was on campus today in fact, was left off.
