You just made me feel good about how important our board must be considering you just won and this was your first stop. Thank you

I knew you would be back!! so predictable...
I will say this...I now believe WU's program is better then I was willing to give them credit for...but you are a terribly unreasonable person when it comes to posting on here.....
I hope for the day when LU can win at a consistent level like WU has been able to...

it's undeniable. I underestimated Peele, but I'm still in a wait and see mode. It sounds silly but I just don't think he can keep the defensive level high enough to compensate for the lack of offense his teams are producing. I guess time will tell though. But whatever, I've gotten to the point where I decided I don't care how good or bad Winthrop is. I just want LU to be better. So congratulations. I hope Preying Mantoris bites locks down your tournament opponent's best.

I can only hope RP stays at WU. BTW, congratulations on the tournament win.

Yeah I am surprised at how well Peele got them playing the last half of the year. It looks as though WU's dynasty is safe for the foreseeable future.

For what its worth, this is the only BSC board (other than our board) worth posting on. There is always conversation here and I enjoy wasting time here.
Go iggles!

After the way the season started for us, I don't care if we're in the play-in game.

The biggest thing Peele did was let his guys start playing more up-tempo instead of forcing that slow it down, grind it out offense on a bunch of athletes. They have so much athletic talent that they should be running up and down the court but instead he made them run sets all of the time and slow the game down. Give the guy credit for finally swallowing his pride and making the adjustment.

According to the latest Bracketology on espn.com just now, the dynasty is in the play-in game against Jackson State......

I pick Winthrop to win that one IF it happens.

In what is IMHO a regrettable and thinly veiled attempt at affirmative action, the NCAA has decided that the SWAC and MEAC champions cannot both be in the "opening round" game. Otherwise, I don't think Winthrop would be in it, and depending on how a few more conference tourneys play out, they still may not.

I don't think it has ever been thinly veiled.

Lehigh & Winthrop will be a toss up for the Opening Round game. Not all that much separates them- depends on the ranking you choose to value most..
I don't see them putting the MEAC/SWAC winner together IF South Carolina State beats Morgan State- otherwise Morgan State has a better resume than Winthrop/Lehigh with a #105 RealTime RPI going into the final & that would only improve & certainly wouldn'tdrop them 50 spots...

Morgan St will likely be a 15 seed if they win

Well, with Winthrop getting screwed into the play-in game, I wonder if somehow all the Big South schools can get on the same page and schedule, and beat, schools from the MEAC, A-Sun, and Patriot to try and get a leg up on them so this doesn't happen again?

Winthrop didn't get screwed into play-in game..WU simply didn't play well enough over the first 2 months of the season to justify putting them anywhere else compared to the rest of the field. Coastal would've likely been a 15 seed if they were the conference champs, so it isn't really a league issue as much as the team winning it not doing enough over the course of the season to justify being placed anywhere better than the play-in game.

I feel like they got screwed, because I don't think the play-in should exist.

Agreed. I think the whole "play-in" game is stupid. I think the tournament would be just fine with one less at-large team. Having said that... since there is a play-in game, I don't think Winthrop got screwed by being put in it.
