VMI went into their game w/CSU last nite with the mindset to not let CSU's guards go crazy (the same game plan we had for our High Point game last week). Didn't work this time, obviously. Warren, Sexton, et al, pumped-faked, drove (even though VMI played zone for 80% of the game) and either got the layup, or passed to their forwards for layups (look at the play by play, and see all the "layups" for CSU). With the exception of 6 blocks between Okoye and Burks, VMI's interior help defense stunk. If CSU missed the chippy shot, they got at least 7 second-chance baskets anyway.

CSU is 6-2 at home in Conf. games (one of the two was to Gar-Webb ). Good luck to LU.

So what do we say our chances are tomorrow night?

Is this a pretty sure win... or not?

im going to say we win... just knowing that every time we play a horrible game, we normally follow with a solid win.... i guess we will see (though we will lose if we shoot FT's as badly as last night)

Our track record this year bodes well for us playing well against CSU. They are tough at home though. It would sure make for a more pleasant drive home from Charleston if we can get the split.

And a winning season in the Big South! That's enough to play for in my book. Let's get this game boys.

Olldflame is at the game, so I'll try to post a few scores in his absence. Four minutes into the game, Chucky South leads 7-3, and Burrus already has 2 fouls.

Evan with a two, then Martin with two, and it's 9-5.

Kyle with a turnover. CSU ball up 9-5.

They miss a shot, we get back down the floor and get a shot blocked.

Kenny Mitchell with a layup, 11-5, CSU.

Ohman earns a goaltend... 11-7.

LU with 5 points, and Gordon has all 5; McMasters getting some playing time with Burrus in foul trouble.

Pat gets blocked, and it's CSU ball.

Jesse travels, not called, misses a shot inside, but Pat gets the board and is fouled. 9 minutes to go.

Another CSU block. We're taking bad, bad shots.

Carter with a foul on the other end, and CSU will shoot two. And they make two. 17-14.
