Sure he's had his ups and downs throughout his career, but I don't think anyone can doubt that he's turned into a complete player. He used to just be a spot up shooter. Now he can score in a variety of ways, he's a leader, he's tough, he can rebound, he can pass, etc.
What an amazing performance last night.

Parakhauski's scoring and rebounding numbers for that week were right at his average for the year.
He's the best player in the league and a shoo-in for his second POY, but there comes a time when the efforts of others should be recognized.

That is some great logic. He's the best player in the league, has an average week (which is leading the nation in double doubles, top 10 in scoring, 2nd in rebounding, and top 50 in blocks) and will be the first Big South player to get drafted into the NBA but lets not give him awards. Lets make sure everyone feels good and give the award to a lesser player to make them feel like a champion!

The award is for player of the WEEK. You don't give it to the same guy every week because he's the best player in the league, even though someone else had equal or better performances during that particular week. Ohman scored more points than Art did during the week and had probably the outstanding single game performance in the conference this season.

Which is it? Week or game? Ohman had 8 points, one bad tattoo, and 4 turnovers off the bench in a loss against Radford. Is that POW stat line?
And again, you guys said it. Art just had an average week, it just so happens his average is better than most others best. Don't hold it against him.

Parakhouski averaged 21.0 points, 13.5 rebounds and 61.5 percent from the floor (16-of-26) in two wins last week.

Well, if Kyle scored 8 and 39, doesn't that average out to 23.5 points per game?

+1 - someone needs to make sure this makes it on the list.
