I hate losing to these guys, but we seem to be good at it.

He's become the Swedish Assassin to us.

The good news is that the Bulldogs are one of the streakiest teams you'll ever see and they've dropped their last two.

A win on Thursday would be great for Liberty's chances of finishing in the top 4! I don't have inside info but it would be great if Ohman was to make a comeback on Thursday.

With all of the UNCA guys we have regularly on this board you would think someone would be talking up this game. I guess everyone is too cold right now.

The BS always is competitive within, & this year seems almost impossible to chart. Like someone said.. "streaks"... then, "down-to-earth." Who knows what happens tonight? This is obviously
crunch time & I know everybody's blood is really pumping as we enter this section of the home stretch. Might be a long shot to make the top 4, with youth & the schedule seemingly working against us, but I wouldn't count the Flames out. I think, overall, Coach has done a great job when you consider how things looked coming in. We're in the mix right now, and that says a lot.

Maybe I'm reading too much between the lines, but I choose to interpret the "don't ask, don't tell" approach toward Kyle's status in this interview to be a possible indication he will play tonight.

I'm sure KO will make the trip & potentially play.. especially with his physician/surgeon.. err I mean girlfriend's father here in Asheville & all.. He can combine a nice follow up visit, get possibly released to play & see what he can do.. personally I think LU is playing better without him, but what do I know??

BTW- the bigger joke was that Liberty got absolutely blasted on ESPN (which should be an alarming ESPN trend for LU) in that joke of a gym we call the Justice Center...

KO has been traveling to all of the games regardless of where his doctor is.

Layer was very non-committal toward KO's status when I asked him about it Saturday. That said, he did practice this week. And Konan for the most part didn't.

He's not going to play Kyle until he can fit in with the team. He's not just going to throw him out there for 30 minutes without the chemistry being there.

I have heard from inside sources that the reason he has been practicing is to get some time in for this game.

If he can adjust to a role of "some time" instead "the man" then yes, you are probably right. It takes a big time mental shift to go from being the guy back to being a role player and fitting in. I have no doubt that Kyle can do it, but it's not a simple process of let's throw Kyle out there and everything will be great.

Yes

No

It's just a little under 300 miles, and more than likely anyone there rooting for LU will be a local alum. If it were a Saturday, the chances of people making the trip from Lynchburg would be much higher.

Personally, I am excited about going on the "Beach Trip" to Charleston and Conway for the first time in a few years. BTW, thanks SJ for the heads up on CCU's games being sold out. Our basketball office hooked me up with passes for both games.

It'll probably be a little hostile down there, gathering from what I have read about the size of the gym & all.

I've heard they unleash live, rabid bulldogs to go after opposing fans and players during media timeouts.

Let's hope they don't smell meat on the local beat-sportswriter.

(Keep up the good work!)

This is true. I've witnessed it with my own eyes when I went down there 2 years ago with some friends. Horrific, Unspeakable things happen to opposing fans at the Justice Center.. Things that can never be erased from someone's mind...
