At this point in time, I spend way more time trying to get people to games than I do trying to find a date and I'm perfectly fine with that.

Ha, no one was complaining about our "terrible offense" after Radford or VMI. Or even after Gardner-Webb or CSU.

I love how we have one bad game and people jump off the boat only to come back after we win a couple. They don't take the time to realize that Winthrop is one of the top defensive teams in the country.

Winthrop's defense is ridiculous. The Flames offense will be back tonight. They are going to feel like no one is guarding them after being blanketed by WU all night on Thursday. I hope the students come out tonight. It will be nice to have the Vines Center be loud again.

Basically, the only students that have an excuse to not go to the game are my fellow Lynchburg Inn-ians. We're kind of trapped out here. BUT I will be going to the game tonight, even if it means I have to walk. I will also be bringing some of the guys from my hall. So all you main campus people best be getting over to the game. Or else we will officially make the dining hall out here at the LI exclusively for us.
So go to the game.... WEAR WHITE!

WU plays such intense, physical defense it is really disruptive. They foul a lot too, but they benefit from the old John Thompson/Georgetown strategy. They play that way from the opening tip and keep playing that way even if the fouls are being called. Eventually the refs get tired of blowing the whistle. Then of course it plays right into their hands when you make less than half of your free throws.

I've done my part and shoveled my driveway and out into my street. Come on city, come plow the road! I want to get to the game!
