I'm going to say 3 times in 4 days is over kill.

Yeah, my wife is ready to add her name to the do-not-call list. They've been calling her numerous times about stuff.

I've gotten four e-mails about it.

It's not a difficult solution. Answer the call hear what they have to say, tell them if your coming and they wont call back. Or ask to be taken off the list and only emailed about it. When you dont answer is the only time they call back. Or if you and your wife are under different names.

At least 5 or 6 people have said otherwise. People answer, say "Were coming," and still get called back.

Winthrop and Radford games will be on ESPN Full Court and ESPN360.

As for the other, I could see calling back one more time if there was no answer the first time. However, after the second call, if you haven't heard back, let it go.

The people being called are adults. If they don't RSVP & then show up expecting food or whatever, then that's their fault. They'll learn to RSVP next time if they want the perks.

The calling policies have been looked into and there were some things that needed to be corrected. When dealing with Alumni if nobody answers and a voicemail is left, they can only call back once more and they will not leave another VM. That way there are 2 calls at the most from now on.


As far as emails go, there has only been one sent out by the Alumni office so if you're receiving more then one you must have several email accounts registered or something.

are you using this as negotiation for leverage to get a job? I mean your showing them the gaps in the system...Im feeling your trying to latch on as a consultant.

20 years ago no one gave a crap and there were NO phone calls coming in.

I, for one, am glad our alumni assoc and flames club people stepped it up and are getting more aggressive.

then again, they don't call MY house 5 times a day like the ACLJ and ADA do. I've taken to slamming the reciever against the wall repeatedly for 20 seconds everytime they call. That's slowed the calls down a bit.

agreed. i have no idea why some complain. im glad someone actually cares and is trying to connect people and get fannies in the seats.

It wouldn't be LU without something to complain about.

I too, am glad there is an effort. Its still in its young stages & some things need to be ironed out (hence the previous posts). That's exactly what happened here & applaud them for making changes to make it better.

You're not local, aka not part of the 245 initiative. This was started by them if I'm not mistaken.

I'm local and haven't heard a word. Guess I'm not on the list. I'm going to the game but won't make the DeMoss event.
