Hah. Cruz is my boy. Nick Barbour is a baller, too Wish we would have wound up with him instead of some Curry kid who didn't do much for us.

Not to stir the pot too much.. but didn't that Curry kid help you beat a certain ACC team last year?? Not to mention GMU & William & Mary... plus the obvious conference results...

I mean it was a dirt bag move to leave you guys holding the bag, I certainly concur- but let's not pretend that he didn't do "much" of anything for LU basketball..

I was joking. Sarcasm. Would have rather had Barbour tho, knowing what I know now. Having a capable scorer for this year, and the addition by subtraction of not having to play him and have him light us up all the time since he feels slighted.

He was a pretty ballyhooed kid who came here and did a pretty decent job, but then he got out of the kitchen when it got too hot

Unfortunately, any time we play HPU for the next few years, Seth's name will come up. We chose him over Nick Barbour, and Barbour likes to remind us that was a mistake every time he plays us. He dropped 21 on us the last time we played him.

And had Seth gone elsewhere and we got Barbour, we still would have had the Big South Frosh of the Year. I hope we can lock him up, but that doesn't get us out of the woods. They have a good team at HPU.

Others wanted Seth ... just not the majors until it was too late.

Oh yeah, did I mention we have a game with the Panthers coming up? I'd love to hear from panfan01 about how the landscaping is coming along.

The landscape was great until a President and new Ad fired the coach. I heard Pat Summit comment on Lane Kiffin taking the USC job and she said that she just didn't understand how he could do that after committing to UT. Well, I've got some breaking news for Coach Summitt, there is little or no integrity among college presidents and probably even less among ADs, so why should she expect anything different out of Kiffin. Coach Lundy was coming of of 3 consecutive winning seasons and he thought that he could recruit and build without placing his job in jeopardy. Last years HP team was one of the youngest in the country and even it was beset by injuries. In the 5 or 6 years prior to Lundys arrival, HP averaged about 5 wins a year and Lundy averaged about 17 wins a year, was the only coach save Marshall with a winning record overall and within the BSC and they fired him. Nido Qubien has taken narcissism to a whole new level and the "Rams Club" pretender hasn't got a clue as to what it takes to build a reasonable mid level program. All that being said I will try to give you an honest opinion about your upcoming game at HP, even though I have little regard for HPU.

The basketball team at HP has some talent and I don't think that LU can beat them at HP. I watched your game against UNCA and even though I thought you had a chance to win that game on your home court that Asheville was just better. I think that the same thing applies to the HP game. Coach Layer will keep it close for a while but HP should win, simply because last years freshman and sophmores are this years sophmores and juniors. Best of Luck to you!
