This is one we need to win. A loss here would be a big disappointment.

He didn't play against CSU either. The knees are bothering him. I would guess it depends on how he feels at practice today and tomorrow.

Really excited about this game. This team looks like it has more upside than a lot of people anticipate for this year.

I'll cut back on my diatribe that got wiped out by the system reset, but like I said originially...you guys have MAJOR problems if you don't beat us tonight, and by a comfortable margin.
The G-W mens hoops program is in complete freefall, and hopefully this will be what finally gets Scruggs shown the door after the season. We had to rally from 13 down with 11 minutes to go to beat CSU here last Thursday, our only win against a D-1 opponent this season. Coastal outrebounded us 42-20 Saturday in their win here. G-W has no inside presence, and makes no effort to establish one.
Scruggs has already benched seniors Flittner and Macmillan this season, and not for injuries either, as if he is already trying to find excuses to save his job, so benching the only decent players we have for 'lack of effort' is as good as any other excuse. For some reason, Burch and the administration are afraid of this guy....he should have been ran out of town when the NCAA lowered the boom a few years back. Add in Scruggs' treatment of faculty and staff members, and he would have been disposed of at virtually any other institution by now.
Back to the game tonight, LU puts the clamps on the perimeter and dares G-W to go inside, and the Flames roll. If G-W can hit jumpers to negate the major disavantage we have in rebounding, then the game will be close.

So Flittner's absence this past weekend was a coach's decision and not an injury? Wow!
I have to admit that while this looks like a game we should win, with a lineup full of freshmen I will take nothing for granted.

No, Flittner has been banged up. I was referencing how, on ESPNU television earlier this season at Penn State, that Scruggs benched both Flittner and Macmillan at halftime for 'lack of effort' or some other hogwash.
Macmillan is an Aussie....I'm sure his family back home down under appreciated seeing him get benched in one of the few chances to see him on television, even if the game was over at that point.
With no creativity on offense except just jumpshooting, it is easy for defenses to just go with the 'shut down Flittner' mantra, and most all of them have since Flittner went ape with 32 in Chapel Hill earlier this season. So, even if he does see action, opposing defenses keying on him have made him more ineffective than his aching knees.

I got the feeling they are using his home hair for that extra inch.
