Now that we have a look at all the teams, and an idea of what each team has, anyone want to make some new predictions for order of finish, and maybe even for awards and such?
1. CCU (16-2)
2. Radford (12-4)
3. High Point (10-6)
4. Liberty (9-7)
5. UNCA (7-9)
6. CSU (7-9)
7. Winthrop (6-10)
8. VMI (6-10)
9. Gardner-Webb (4-12)
10. Presby (3-13)
POTY: Big Art
First Team:
Art P.
Nick Barbour
Kyle Ohman
Chad Gray
Jamarco W.
COTY: Cliff Ellis
Frosh of the year: Evan Gordon

I would put Winthrop a little higher than they are on your list. I would probably put them at five, UNCA at 6, and CSU at 7. CSU can't seem to close out games a lot of the time.
(Note: Putting Liberty at 4 and Winthrop at 5 is a complete homer move for me. I truly believe it could go either way.)

Why do you guys have UNCA so high? They've already lost 2 home games - to Coastal and CCU. And they're 1-4.
Right now I'd say:
RU
CCU
HPU
LU
WU
CSU
UNCA
VMI
GW
PC

I pretty much agree with manson's list with the exception of reversing the top 2. CCU really looks to be on a roll, and I think they will win the regular season, but I like RU in the Tourney. I would also say that although I don't expect it, if VMI doesn't get some things straight and fast, they could end up last.

Yeah, I had VMI in the top 4, but they've been dropping since conference play started.

I put UNCA above CSU because of Primm, Dickey, and Williams. When those sophomores are on, they're a good team. They should've beaten Coastal. Once the students get back, the Justice Center should go back to being a tough place to play.

Don't where LUn will end up, but I say that they're doing a very good job so far!!

If you want to give us another home game vs Coastal.. or is it CCU??? I mean I'll take it...
The Charleston Southern loss hurt us, no doubt... I think we're way better than CSU though.. we've lost 4 Big South games by 16 points total, played RU & HP already on the road so our road games remaining are not exactly against the top teams of the league (other than at Coastal of course).. I don't think the world has ended yet, but I won't deny this VA road trip is huge for UNCA right now & they know it.. After the way the team has played, I'm not terribly optimistic of predicting any great finishes in league standings per se, but I think if we find some consistency then there's not too many teams that want to face us going down the stretch as we are traditionally a stronger team as the season progresses...

I'll play:
1. Radford (14-4) - wins tiebreaker, season sweep of CCU
2. Coastal Carolina (14-4)
3. Winthrop (12-6)
4. UNC Asheville (11-7)
5. High Point (9-9)
6. Charleston Southern (8-10) - wins tiebreaker due to win over Winthrop
7. Liberty (8-10)
8. VMI (5-13) - wins tiebreaker due to win over High Point
9. Gardner-Webb (5-13)
10. Presby - irrelevant for now

I never looked at this but 9 of your teams play only 16 games. Makes sense with all the snow weve had.

1. Parakhouski
2. Joe Harris
3. Warren
FOY
1. Sexton
2. Okoye
3. Gordon
COY
1. Ellis
2. Peele
3. Layer

Really?
Blake Smith isn't in your top 3 for FOY honors?
Leads all Freshman w/ 3 FOW awards (Sexton also has 3 but shared one week w/ Greenwood)
Held Sexton to 5 points last night on 2-8 shooting.
4th in the conference in steals per game (2.0)

Oversite; all teams will have played 18 games by Feb. 27th.

He's close, and he's coming on strong at the end where as Sexton and Gordon have been fairly consistent throughout the conference season. Smith has been great in his last five games but had a fairly pedestrian start to the league season. He can certainly work his way in there by the end, possibly at Gordon's expense, because Gordon has been rather up-and-down of late. Okoye has been a pure beast, save for the game against Liberty here. Six double-doubles in conference.

Also, Warren and Nick Barbour are fairly interchangeable in that three spot behind Art and Joe Harris. Either one is worthy of consideration.

I wasn't aware stats were even fair game to bring up regarding VMI.
Smith has averaged almost 30 minutes in conference, is top 10 in the league in a assists, scores almost 10 a game, 4th in steals. His scoring is a bit up and down but he's the 4th option, so it's hard to put up double digits night in and night out. Then lets not forget he plays for a team with a winning record, somthing the 3 men on your list might not be able to say at the end of the season.

Two weeks left, lots can change.
Even with VMI, stats are fair game. They're viewed a little differently, but Okoye's production cannot be ignored. It's not like he's just cherry picking down there.
Anyway, I appreciate the stumping for Smith. I'll certainly keep him in mind when it's time to vote.

Fair enough. Maybe he will impress in Lynchburg on Tuesday!

Okoye is a stud. You could make a case for him over Sexton IMHO.
I agree too about Barbour in the mix for the #3 spot, both him and Warren will make their teams a very tough out in the first round by their play.

He may be a stud, but it would be hard for us to know because he didn't do squat against us. 16 points and 7 rebounds total in 2 games, and Burrus decisively outplayed him.

I think many of us expect the Hose to be a legitimate contender next year. Your kids who were thrown tot he wolves this year have actually been more competitive than I expected.

Unless something drastic happens, the top 4 seeds will be CCU, WU, RU, and UNCA. We will either finish 5th or 6th. I'm not sure who I'd rather us play in the first round, probably UNCA.
